Hope our Tommy turns out to be a "Pinball Wizard".

It's a good time to give him his shot at the big time.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

          Nice one Stella.

It's going to piss me off bigtime this afternoon having to wait until 6:30 for team announcements so channel 7 can deliver the 'scoop'. From a Sydney based view, it's a total crock, care factor = zero from their perspective, so it's afl.com or RWO anyway for us based up here if we want team news.....

Good on you Tommy, I dare say that won't be the only change this week, should be good for Sammy to get a bit of support in the forward line

Serious question to Ressie watchers - does Tommy do any rucking? Is he likely to replace White? If not, maybe he is going to give Sam a break.
                      Everitt?

I hope both us (the fans) and the coaching staff have a bit of patience with Tommy - I don't expect him to have a massive impact early on, but he seems the sort of guy that has the physical tools, and a bit of experience with the pace and intensity with the big boys will pay off in the longer term. He will be getting a big cheer from me on Saturday that's for sure...

Could be, based on Horse's comments in this article it looks like he's probably not slotted for the backup ruck spot and mainly just as a forward.
?He can come into the team and play forward or back, but he will primarily play forward and give us a bit of structure in our forward line and hopefully just make a really strong contest,? he said.

If LRT plays he gets the ruck gig and hides in the FP. If LRT comes in White goes out, so Walsh would probably be for Everitt, unless someone is injured and they play Everitt on the wing where he belongs

Need to factor in the Reid issue - he needs a rest in the ressies and regain his kicking mojo. He is likely to be rested this round. He is still a kid, and I think because of his size and our expectations, we forget that. He needs a bit of support out of the limelight right now imho.

Well done to him. It would be very satisfying after working pretty hard at the game for a few years to finally get your chance. I'm not expecting miracles, hopefully he gives a good account of himself. Very rarely does a player have a strong game on debut.
