The players are 100 % to blame for this - Longmire and the coaching staff - even Nathan Gibbs would play better than this team tonight. We didn't put in, saints did - I dislike Saints as much as anyone - but they called our bluff and then some.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Surly its time for our (cough, cough) inspirational Captain to have a rest, possible for about 17 weeks.

i'm sorry but this is not acceptable!
malceski is soft and doesnt even run off the half back line..why is he there?
shaw was awful and non existent
          where is our run?
we leave it to the parkers, johnsons, hanneberrys who are two seasons in!
we do not have a forward line
i hate to say it as i bleed red and white, but without goodes we are barely a top 8 side!

Well if the Richmond game was a wake up call, they didn't actually wake up.

Poor poor effort. Something wrong with our onfield leadership or our game preparation or both.

How many were effective ? How many tackles did he miss.. How many targets did he miss with both hand and foot.. I have the same feeling about him being our captain as I do about Gillard running this country..

Too slow, at least that's how it looked, not good enough to man up, we didn't get clean posession from stoppages again and missed an awful lot of tackles. There are either some injured players on our list or they've just been out muscled. Either way, a change in attitude is needed. I don't think the Melbourne gane did us any favours, masked some deficiencies. I think we can officially call this our mid year slump

                          we are soft
mcveigh, shaw, malceski, etc etc falling off tackles
                          poor mattner had a shocker
our clanger count all season is a real worry
not sure what longmire can do with our lack of class
bring back mummy and goodes so we can scrape into the 8
hopefully in the meantime we find a genuine forward, just one will do!!

If I were the coach I would drop at least 10 players.....who gives a stuff about next week's 4 points....we should send a message. It NEVER happens when we put in this sort of performance. We used to have these type of games (esp against bulldogs) where we would lead by up to 20 then just stop and let it get to 50 points or so. No one is ever held to account. The coaches should go through the game and drop every player who was not running in 2nd and 3rd quarters....plus drop every player who made repeated stupid decisions or repeated skill errors.....or who was repeatedly beaten one on one. Won't happen, though, because the only player who have done anything good at all all (Jetta and McGlynn...and a bit of Reid) have also either gone missing/not run enough or made horrible errors.

In summary I would drop (in order of needing it)
                              Malceski
                              Shaw
                              Bolton
                              O'Keefe
                              Walsh
                              Grundy
                              Smith
                              Parker
                              McVeigh
                              Bird
                              Mattner
                              Hannebery
                              Johnson
                              Roberts-Thomson

All of them played at some level of disgusting

                              Lucky to escape the axe
                              Reid
                              McGlynn
                              Richards
                              Jack
                              Pyke
                              Kennedy
                              Jetta
                              and Dennis-Lane

I don't who comes in....just anybody so that these muppets don't get to wear the jumper next week after 2 disgusting performances in a row (Melbourne game doesn't count for ANYTHING)

We did win the first and last quarters strangely enough - they opened us right up in the middle part of the game.
