I have a rule about not posting in Game Day threads when I'm angry.
My take on the 2nd Qtr is
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
It is not our pace. It is our forward line. There simply is NOTHING to kick to and longmire should be shot for this forward line and all of you Nuffield that thought a performance as poor as last week from the forwards meant they deserved a run again this week have got to be kidding.
Our midfield is our forward line and they are playing like wet @@@@ getting ran over on the road. No guts from the sydney players that quarter was like watching melbourne play just disgusting idk what it is about melbourne but sydney are a different team when we are down there. Just not good enough from the swans. The umpires are also doing a terrible job two terrible decisions in one game from the guy umpiring the saints forward line.
Sometimes i wonder whether it is worth turning on the tv when sydney play in melbourne let alone go down and watch the rubbish that the swans serve up.
totally agree that TDL should have started...he has goal nous and can make the most of his opportunities...kick straight and give assists
i'll take a risk here and say we went in too top heavy......too much emphasis on saints not having ruckmen
That big kick out of defence is really working,NOT!!!! Why do they continue to use it! This is the worst we have played this year. Even worse than against Richmond! Bloody umpires aren't helping! Giving the Saints an armchair ride bloody cheats! Again we rely on bombing the ball and it doesn't work. Last week we moved the ball really quickly out of defence and into the forward line. We also won the clearances. We only got two clearances in that quarter. @@@@ing Longmire and his plan for beating the press! We have not taken one mark from a kick in that went high!!!! Get with the reality Johnny we are crap overhead! @@@@ing kick to position and move players to meeet the ball. Macca keeps trying to mark on his chest how about putting your hands out and meeting the ball Macca!
FFS Riewoldt gets a free if he falls over. The umpiring is crap at best. BUT, we are playing terribly, no thought when we have the ball and we look insipid.
Reid and Walsh are giving us nothing although I note Reid is being well shepherded from the marking contests - funny how the umps dont see it - maybe we need 4 umps?
Jetta has done nothing and our exits out of the backline have been terrible but maybe they have nothing to kick to? I would bring Dennis-Lane on early - at least he has some pace and may get some seperation from his man. Dunno who to sub but we might need to take a risk here. I wish I had a positive to finish on - can't find one - I guess Goodesy is in the stand so not too far away hopefully.
Some terrible Swans play and a great deal of incorrect decisions by the umpires....there were 3 free kicks not paid for Malceski...but they paid HTB despite no prior....GOAL. Riewoldt/Grundy shoulder to shoulder....shot on goal. Really quite extraordinary. Do the umpires have coaches who watch the game and the go in at half time and give them a rev? They did miss an arm hold on Milne.

Fingers crossed that Longmire and co. can make a couple of genius moves at half-time like they did against the Hawks. Just wish Goodes was out there today.
TDL as sub was a terrible decision. LRT is a passenger tonight. ROK/Jude/Luke/joey need to pull their fingers out.
I'm starting to think that maybe LRT has lost his mojo for good - he's too slow now. Mal needs laser eye surgery so as he can see who his team mates are aren't.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

AGE IS ONLY IMPORTANT FOR TWO THINGS - WINE & CHEESE!
We are also playing really old fashioned footy. OUT OF DATE! SLOW BALL MOVEMENT! No run even when we have the chance we are not using the runner. We are trying to play that Sydney slow it down game that was really killing us last year! Why do we play a really exciting game against some sides and then come out and change the game plan against others like the Saints who will murder us if we keep to the style!
So that quarter sucked. My suggestion is that the coaches should have the playing group try harder, I think it's the best way for us to be a chance to win.
More importantly- I'm giving Jindi's Ultimate Blue a go tonight, pairing it with a lovely pear, honey and cardamom spread. I don't mind some of Jindi's work, but normally I look to spend a bit for blue cheese as it's very important to me- based on this so far I think I'd buy it again. Much more enjoyable than the footy so far.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
