If Moore cannot get picked when two not particularly quick, not particularly tall inside players are out injured, then when will he ever be picked?

While I agree that Everitt is not showing much, the same comment would have been made about Matthews but have a look at the 2005 winning team. you never know.

Disagree about McGlynn's pace. He might not be Jetta-quick but he's still pretty quick by most players' standard.

But sadly for Moore, I suspect the answer is that he won't, unless more injuries strike. It's a shame for him (and arguably for us) because his work-rate, attitude and footy-brain appear to be top notch. Expect to see him in a coaching role of some description next year - if not at the Swans then somewhere else.

Everitt's issues have been with effort, clumsiness, and pressure. He appears brittle. He's beaten easily; hasn't been winning hard ball. He can mark on the 50 and kick booming goals, and then miss from in front. He looks down on confidence, but that may be his style. Spangher is a clutch player, big on effort, and he inspires teammates. Perhaps not as (apparently) versatile, but more likely to have a telling, positive impact on a game. We have really missed him.

To me Everitt is the least "Bloods" player on our list.

I thought I read somewhere that the AFL paid for the players salaries? This is to ensure even if a club is going down the gurgler that the players are always paid?

                I'm also disappointed for Moore.
I thought his consistent form, and excellent attitude and footy smarts, would of seen him given a go tonight.
IMO, on present form, he offers more than either Mal or Everitt.
For starters he doesn't mind getting his guernsey dirty. He also has the ability and smarts to bring others into a game.
I hope he ends up on the Swans coaching staff.

I think the sub rule has claimed another victim - Moore.

He didn't have the stamina - to runout a game and was able to be rested, maybe he has improved but not sufficiently enough to force his way into the seniors.
Now you can't afford to have that type player in your team.
He was never going to be a champion player - serviceable and determined at best.
From other posters - he has a lot of footy smarts and could well be destined to be a member of the coaching staff.
If he was rated highly( like some posters believe) - I'm sure he would have been sought by other clubs in trade week ( as he wasn't getting a game last year either).
Maybe he's happy with his lot and sees what he is doing as the key to moving into a new career.

Had a quiet word with one of the coaches who has confirmed that he rates Moore highly, and would prefer to keep him on - assuming coaching capacity. Read into that what you will. I was just extremely pleased to hear that they regard his attributes as highly as I/we do. Now we wait and see what the future brings.

Perhaps we should have a redandwhiter petition started to let the club know we want to keep Moore in the MoorePark vicinity!

I don't think we need to worry about losing him to free agency. However, if he has the coaching touch then we want him more !
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.
