A little story on his graduation here.
    Of interest
He is not the only AFL player at the campus; other Sydney Swans players are also flocking to the Australian School of Business. Four other players from the Sydney AFL team have chosen to complete their undergraduate degrees at the School. Swans players, Nick Smith (Bachelor of Economics), Daniel Hannebery (Bachelor of Economics), Josh Kennedy (Bachelor of Commerce) and Dylan McNeil (Bachelor of Commerce) are all looking for strong academic qualifications to provide them with opportunities following their football careers.
There's been a few Swans that have gone to UNSW over the years.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

The other thing with Goodes is we know he hates not being out there. He'll fight on for a while yet.

Pretty sure he also works at Citibank (Work experience maybe? I think all the Swans are required to do a day a week work/study outside of the AFL)

Sounds familiar. Was he doing it with Jason "Cannon" Ball?

edit: Actually IIRC Ted and Mike were working at the same place. Ball was doing something at the stock market but also with another Swan at the time. Who??

Yeah he will, I can see him playing at least another 2 possibly even 3 years if he can remain injury free. Especially playing as a deep forward aswell.

Isn't Leo Barry a stock broker?

Jason Ball is (or at least was) at MacBank working as a stockbroker. Leo Barry is at Merrill Lynch but I don't think he is in a broking role.

I think with the 2 sub rule virtually confirmed (no I don't like it, hate 1 sub let alone 2) Mark Seaby may struggle to get a game and may think about giving it away (no disrespect to him, just the way it looks to me).

Jared Moore has been a trooper but just doesn't seem to have the pace for the top level and may give it away. He has been an excellent captain for the reserves team and I hope he moves into a coaching role because he has the right mindset.

Don't think we will see any more retirements this year but there will be a few within the next 3 years. I believe, with a few players into their late '20's and early '30's.

Seaby is the most likely to retire IMO.

Well there has been a lot of talk about who will go around again but I think you have to bite the bullet. Even though a few of our veterans are playing like youngsters they are finding it very hard to get up every week. Bolts is always in doubt unless he is able to train in the last training session before the match. Ryano is also in a similar position and slowing down. Their bodies won't go on forever and we shouldn't expect that as that would be selfish! The time has come for them to retire at the end of the year. The same with Rhyce Shaw! That makes three. Seabs will be either looking for another club or retirement. Moore & Meredith will probably be de-listed & Bulldog will get a coaching role & still play reserves. Six so far & I think that is it unless the club see no room for Jesse!

Can you please tell us where you read or heard this?
Jude was on the footy show on Wednesday night and he certainly never mentioned any trouble getting up for a game, he came across to me at least as still having a great hunger for the contest and I for one think we'll be a much poorer team when the time actually does come for Jude to retire..
I will agree RyanO is slowing down but he is still an integral part of the team, and how you can say that Shaw should be retiring this year is beyond belief.

I'd like to know the source of this inside info as well, the idea of Shaw retiring given his last couple of games is beyond belief, and Jude had a career high possie game

Matt Cameron's injury report last week he said Bolts doesn't train until the last training session before the game. Look they are all over thirty two including Shaw and even he is finding it harder to recover from injury. Until recently his performances haven't exactly been riveting. A new broom sweeps clean and let's have a clean out! Let's face it they are all close to done in that they have all had good careers and it is time to go before being pushed! Shaw's delivery is unpredictable at best and he hasn't until his last couple of games exactly been a prime mover for us. His last performances have been good but he sometimes has brain fades and just stuffs up. I am amazed that the stats say he is averaging 70% efficiency. In the games I have seen he is lucky to be 40-50%.

Not sure were any of this is coming from.
Rock is amongst our best each week, Jude is playing like a guy who is 22, and Shaw has done really well all year (are you forgetting the shutdown roles he has done throughout the year, you dont give a guy on his last legs a tagging role)

Is this trolling or are you just trying to get a bit of life on the forum?

                                O'Keefe 24.1.81 = 31
                                Shaw 31.10.81 = 30

but given time i'm sure they will get there. Isn't Fletch 37, they could play for another 5-6 years yet.
