    Eugene Kruger

Eugene Kruger has a rich family history.

Young Swan catching up with his past

I like how he had no idea about it, despite the famous surname. A little like Mr Smoketoomuch.

Nice yarn that. Ressie/training watchers, how is he going with a view to one day maybe graduating to national stage? SWOT report?

As far as I can see he still has quite a bit of development to do. Players like Brown, Biggs, Lockyer, Mitchell and Cunningham are far more likely to play Seniors than him at this stage. If he comes on in the next 12 months then he is a chance. I realise he has not played all his life like the other lads and it has been a bit harder for him. If he doesn't develop in a year he could always go to play in either the VFL, SANFL or WAFL and develop more there. Often times a player needs more time even if he has been brought up with the game. Eugene has not been raised with Aussie Rules so if more time is needed he might need to come back as a mature age recruit. Look at Kirkie, he had a year back in Wagga and then never looked back. But he may yet surprise and come on as he is doing ok so far.
