Sadly, that's the sort of service you get from a company that has a monopoly.

It's working now, I think you might have caught the system when it was 'holding' tickets for prospective buyers. That would indicate that there aren't many GA left.Comment

You can forget G.A tickets whilst the ground is being redone.
I'm taking some young fillies with me but have one ticket spare. It will cost you a case of moonshine and some fine hair gel though. I am very particular about the quality of hair gel too.Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

Or I can just save you the hassle and give you $AUD.
EDIT: PM me if you still have that ticket of courseCaptain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sectorComment

My seat in Bay 31 was handed back, due to my new location in Perth, and will be every home game. The club might be able to help someone out with that."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment

Capacity at the ground is expected to be reduced from 45,000 to 34,000 at the height of construction.Comment

That's exactly it Cruiser.
Ticketek can only sell a certain amount of GA seating as they must leave enough for Red Zone members. When you see empty seats in the GA area but GA is sold out, it is the members not turning up, hardly Ticketeks fault.Comment

It's the clubs fault to a certain extent. They haven't vocally promoted the member lease-back option. They have for this game, but only belatedly once they realised that the game was to be a sell out. The are quite comfortable having people pay extra money for reserved seating and not fill out the GA; obviously the financial gain is greater.Comment

I thought the lease back is only available for reserved seatsComment
-
That's what I thought also. Every correspondence regarding lease back that I have read only ever mentions reserve seating.
As a Red Zone member, I have never thought this was an option available to me (not that I ever miss a game and would make use of this option anyway).Comment

I wonder how often a reserved ticket holder who can't attend actually hand back their ticket? The club could consider a simple mobile app (or an update to the AFL app) where you could 'hand back' your ticket in one simple click and it eventually tells you whether it was re-leased. Might increase participation.
With redzones, I'd guess that the member guest passes is a defacto form of a 're-lease- without the member getting a credit per se.Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sectorComment

EDIT: Well I just checked and I AM wrong. Still, a lease back option for GA sections would be a good idea.Comment
