Getting back to Lewis Broome. Crouchy said that he was rookie listed at WCE for a couple of years, is now in Sydney, and that the Swans will use him again in the reserves this year, but not sure of future plans.

He might like another crack at AFL and if he is in Sydney now maybe he'd like a crack with us? He obviously has talent and at that height I'm thinking he'll draw lots of head high frees right in front of goals - nice!

We will just have to wait and see. Crouchy never gives ANYthing away. Will give ressie watchers something to make comment on anyway.

And let us not forget young Kane Murphy (son of David) was sent on a mission to get more into his game by playing in the SANFL and he is progressing nicely. He may be as tall as Broome, but I am not sure......I am not kidding.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Aaaah I'd been wondering what happened to Murphy... I remember he was one of your favourites Primmy.

I havent said it before, but I will say it now. As a Melbourne-based supporter who is very frustrated by not being able to follow the magoos, Ugg and friends provide a fantastic setup with this report as well as twitter. I love checking for the progress during the match and the feedback on players is a highlight as well. Great work guys, and thanks for all that you do.

Maybe we should be hiding him away in the Sydney league until next draft period!

Ugg and friends deserve special praise. The updates on the twos are an invaluable resource for Swans' tragics. It is a major pity that the club is not harnessing this coverage for the wider Swans community.

He has some challenges; height being a major one, strong family connections being another. He said that he was told to get some tougher opponents by playing either in the VFL or SANFL, so bless his cotton socks, he headed off to Norwood. Not easy. He is also at Uni in Sydney. Maybe they wanted to see if he was committed enough. He has a very happy personality, looks like a party boy, legion of friends, so it may have been a test of character as well (?????) to get him away from an easy ride/easily distracted ride in Sydney.

Surmising like mad here. Anyway he may not break into the Sydney side, but maybe he will stand out enough to get a gig at another AFL side. I just liked the way he played. Potential.

I agree with this the mark he took was sensational. I don't agree that he is too small Prim. If he can mark like that and the way he uses his body against taller opponents he will be ok. Let's face it everyone is going to be taller than him and it takes real talent to make it at his height, fortunately he has plenty of that. Just ask Paul Callery 165cm, Ian Callinan 172cm or Tony Liberatore 163cm what they had to do to make it. They had to be better! This kid has incredible raw talent and who gives a hoot how tall or small he is, he is worth a drafting!
