Around the early 1990's, when we were being whipped like dogs, and Swans' fans were very few on the ground, I witnessed drunken Magpie supporters surround a bunch of older Swans supporters and give them hell - foul mouthed drunken hell. I was so disgusted I reported it to the police, who 'monitored' crowd behaviour for the rest of the afternoon. It was a telling moment. Beating Collingwood ever since always makes me think back to the Magpie morons and how sweet the feeling of success. There is nothing GWS can do to replicate that feeling. Across town rivalry will never happen while Collingwood exists."Play like you can’t lose."Comment

Confession time. With the ladder as it currently is, I've started to fantasise about Sydney crushing Collingwood in the grand final. Sydney narrowly loses to them in the regular season. Coming into the GF, Collingwood are very cocky, Eddie is making comments about the greatest side ever etc. In the game, Swans jump out to an early lead and then keep extending it. They win by 63 pts. Collingwood fans are leaving at three-quarter time.

The Colliwobbles have to be the second biggest chokers in the AFL. They only won the premiership in 2010 cause they played the biggest chokers! I reckon GWS could beat them in a grannie!Comment

It would certainly add a level of strategy. You could go defensive for example - might have really helped Sydney in the Essendon game to clog up Essendon's forward line with an elephant or two.Comment
