It's just laughable that anyone could consider him a good forward. Not sure I can think of a worse forward ever. His only value is down back playing on a tall who is immobile. He's tall and can compete occasionally for the spoil. That's it. Don't let anyone tell you he competes well in the ruck. What's with the comments I hear, "he is providing a contest" It's just rubbish. So I guess he is told to deliberately run to the ball and deliberately not mark it in hope that McGlynn will run past. This will not be good enough against top four sides, we need another avenue to goal. A good small such as TDL may work. It did for Carlton the other day. He will also provide a lot more forward pressure than a guy who can barely stand up. I need a beer, this topic is stupid. He must have a lot of mates!

LRT is an enigma. He is far better as we saw when he went back last night. Wow was he good!! He provided a contest up forward and wouldn't let the ball out if he could prevent it but! He doesn't take a good contested mark and got the third best backman most of the time and still couldn't take too many contested marks. I like the guy and he has a lot of features to his game that I love like not allowing the ball out of the forward line or if in the backs punching the stuff out of the ball to clear the area. But he is not a forward or a ruckman he is a backman as he proved when he went back last night. He was soooooo good!!!! I love it when he took Brown on head on and beat him to the marking contest! Maybe we need to look at the defence, which is good, again in relation to who we are playing!Comment

LRT is far better than "wooden hands" White.
At least LRT gets where the footy's at, even if he has a turning circle of the Queen Mary.
I doubt Jessie knows the name on the official AFL Football. Would deadset get lost at his own birthday party.Comment

The reality is TDL is coming to the end of a two-year contract and is not getting game time at the expense of a player who simply cannot effectively hold down a forward position. If TDL seeks a transfer to Freo or another team looking for a mid-sized forward you will spit blood. Why would TDL stay with the Swans?
2. TDL will stay at the Swans because if he wants to play in a successful team, we are the best option. He'd have just as much trouble being a regular in any of the better teams.
3. The coaches weigh up the relative merits of the two hyphens every time they select the team. End of argument. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

There is another issue regarding LRT. Chances are Mumford will recover and be able to play ruck for 80% game time. If pike is dropped from the side because of this fact does anyone think LRT can play ruck? He will get slaughtered against west coast, essendon etc. Im not sure we can do without pike.Comment

1. LRT is effectively holding down forward position. If he wasn't he'd be dropped. (Definition of effective: producing the desired result .... in this case for the team and the selectors).
2. TDL will stay at the Swans because if he wants to play in a successful team, we are the best option. He'd have just as much trouble being a regular in any of the better teams.
3. The coaches weigh up the relative merits of the two hyphens every time they select the team. End of argument. My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment
