Its been a game of 5 halves so far ...
We have won 3 of them.
Mike Pyke - the commentaors are so begrudging when he does something great ... if that was Cyril or Stevie J imagine the fuss but when it was Mike all we got from Huddo was .. Is that really Mike Pyke ???

Phew! I'm exhausted just watching that first half. Top quality game thus far, being played at a frenetic pace. We may or may not win, but it is clear that the Swans believe they can - they're not overawed by the size of the ground or the crowd. On the one hand, should have kicked another couple of goals in that quarter. But we were lucky not to concede more during that five minutes of collective brain farting by the defence.

Most of our mids are playing well but Hanners is the stand-out for me. Possibly the best half of footy I've seen him play.

That was terrible and very low by the crowd!

We are looking on top at the moment. 3 goal advantage at half time is great. Just no last quarter fade outs!! Mumford and (especially!) Pyke have been great in the ruck and O'Keefe has tagged Pridis well.

If we can limit our turn overs coming out of defense we'll get them but most of their goals are due to our turn overs. As Liz said, our mids are brilliant. Hanners, Bird, O'Keefe on Priddis. Mumford and Pyke brilliant in curtailing both Cox and particularly Nic Nat.

Jack got caught going to his wrong side a couple of times at centre clearances and was smothered off the boot. At one stage he had 13 possessions all hard ball gets.

There were 2 eagles deliberate out of bounds not paid within 5 minutes - only reason the crowd was silent .... Eagles home ground advantage in umpiring calls continues !
