Mike deserves his own thread for his effort today. I just watched the replay and some of his taps were perfect and his second efforts in tight were really telling. Then there's That Goal! We always hoped he'd use his smarts and speed to turn into a real footballer and today he's shown he's done that in droves.

He was fantastic today and has been for the last month.. He is an important part of our team now. 2 ruckmen work when they have the versatiltiy all over the ground that Mummy and Pyke show. It was great to hear him interviewed after the game.. He is really passionate about his job. He has worked hard and is now seeing great results.. Anthony Hudson will have to get used to be amazed by our Mike..Comment

He's improving each week and making a difference- you can't ask for more than that. Love him!I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I like Pyke....always have. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Great performance from him. Good to see one of the commentators on 7 (Healy?) recognizing his pace as well, not to mention his second efforts.
His disposal under pressure and from a mark/free can still improve but he is a certain pick each week.Comment

The man's intelligent and committed, has worked out what he needs to do to improve, has added some skills to keep himself in the mix with the substitute rule change, has some pace and agility and isn't afraid to mix it (nice elbow into Cox's ribs). His improvement seems to have come on fast after playing some full games in the Reserves as lead ruckman.Comment

Pyke's tapwork was brilliant. Up forward he's a hard player to man up on - he's got great goals against Scarlett and Glass. He and Mummy really did the job on Nic Nat and Cox.

Mike has been great and our team balance is right with him in there doing his thing. He is an outstanding tap ruckman and his work around the ground keeps improving. Quite a physical speciman too isn't he? Surely he remains in the team for the rest of the year based on his efforts this year...Comment

The ruck duo is now set in stone. There should be no discussion about him not playing in the same side as Mummy. They both offer a heck of a lot both on the ball and forward.Comment
