    Classic Grand Final Moments

Doing a pan around the ground, the Lions fans have Rocca's name written on their elbows.

    Yes that was very beautiful!

Another moment...Channel 10 being unable to censor Aka's F word...

Yet another..the sight of a tear on the cheek of a man in Collingwood jersey...

Is it wrong to feel a sense of satisfaction at that sight?

At least we lost our match last week to one of the best teams of the decade..Cause Brisbane are truly a championship team!

Nothing wrong with that Chewy perfectly natural feeling

Noticed in one of the crowd shots one Bris supporter had the game over Joffa banner...ahhhh how sweet it is ....

And now a hattrick of gf losses to the Wobbles 2 premierships and 1 pre season

The Game Over Joffa signs - particularly the one on the maroon fabric, with the lettering inside a gold jacket, and the FFC and Lions logos on them.

And the banner that said something like Eddie couldn't get his Rocca off.

I also liked a Brisbane banner that said "The only good thing about Black & White is that they play for us".

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

          Mine were
-Mick Malthouse's face trudging off the ground after the cup was presented.

-The really loud soccer-style chants of "LIONS-LIONS" you heard throughout the second half.

-The cut-up paper and docket rolls chucked by the Lions CS during the last quarter.

The look on Joffa's face when they showed it during the last quarter.

Best moment without doubt for me was when Shaw (??) went to kick the ball and it fell out of his hand and Lynchie made him look like the goose he is...
Don't ya just luv it.....we came closer than the pies to beating the lions last week. It's karma coming back to belt those phylphy pies.
Also, Mick said that after last year's GF loss, they determined to turn over 6 players to get a more hungry and better side...I think he'll be changing about 12 this year....LOL LOL LOL...
Also another best moment was that shot of Eddie McChin in the dressing room with the hang-dog mouth....WOOOOOHOOOOO....
and Joffa the tossa looking forlorn on the boundary....and bucks and malty trying to stop from crying...gee, so many great moments...

"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

For mine, Mick Malthouse's post match quotes were classic moments ...

?I?m totally embarrassed by our performance. I don?t care if you get beaten so long as you?ve had a go. I?m not saying that we didn?t have a go.?

" Brodie Holland and Ryan Lonie did not perform the roles they had been given."

"I thought Jason Cloke had a better game last year " ( he was suspended )

              followed closely by ...

" I?m not going to label anyone here at the moment and I wouldn?t dare do that.?

Look on the bright side Mick, at least you've only got good people at your club
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

Hadn't seen that at the footy for ages, didn't it look great, noticed that the MCG Nazi's weren't all that impressed by it however, doubt that they'll let 'em get away with it again for a while.

He needs to spell it out in black & white!

Couldn't see PR bagging his players like that.

You wait till the Cheer Squad League finishes with em. They'll cop a $5000 fine.

Totally stupid, I think. Do we want a totally sterile artificial league played in soulless stadia?

The NRL today was worse. Everyone buying the little flags you get at the souvenir stall. And everyone looking the same.

He needs to stop being so wrapped up in his own importance for starters.

For a man who prides himself on being able to get the best out of ordinary players/people, by treating everyone as equals ...he seems to have lost the plot . I don't think he really knows what he was trying to say to be honest . I think he may have been trying to lay the blame somewhere, to keep the CFC happy, and make it look as though he knew exactly where they'd gone wrong, so they have faith in him being able to rectify it, regardless of the damage it could do to the players mentioned in his rant .

But anyway, Hello, welcome to Pie Land ...

If you get thrown in at the deep and swim, its thanks to Mick and Eddie for finding you, and then turning you into that champion player/man with principal. You'll always be loved by the CFC , so long as you follow the sheep, and don't have an opinion of your own.

But be warned if you drown, or perform poorly, you do it all by yourself, and ultimately wind up on the receiving end of one of Mick or Ed's ever so boring, but ongoing public humiliation scripts.

Then of course, you become a life member of the outcast group within a group. If you dare to step outside the world of Ed & Mick, or dare to think that you might be better off at another Club, even though you're currently being treated dreadfully at C'Wood -total alienation is a distinct possibility.

Very few are exempt to Mick and Eddies rules, but being a brown noser extraordinaire can guarantee you a happy and fruitful existence there.
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

Ruda you are obviously referring to Nick again, was he treated so badly? I heard from people who know him that he was offered perks like access to racing stables, shares in racehorses and so on and they tried to accommodate him. Remember woman, you might be involved with him now but I have seen him grow up.

Omni, Omni, Omni .... If i wanted to say something about Nick, i'd refer to him by name. I was talking about the C'Wood football club in general. Obviously you seem to think that Nick was the only person to ever have a problem with them. You really should ask around a bit more... You've also been quick to assume i'm just a blow in, who has just come on the scene in the last year . Good for you, whatever rocks your boat ...

Btw, the horse racing thing happened a fair while ago. Early in 2001, before he resigned, if i recall correctly . However i wouldn't call racing a horse or being involved with a trainer/jockey, a perk . I do it twice a week

I loved the last qtr - lots of atmosphere. Good old fashioned footy confetti, plus the English soccer-like chant of "Lions" or the singing of the club song. Sounded great.
