What's tough is that if someone doesn't have a really good game, someone as steps up. For example, Jetta had a couple of quiet games, and Jack stood up. Kennedy was getting tagged like crazy, and then Hannebery and ROK stepped up. Richards got outdone by Jack Riewoldt and that was one of a few losses. I guess if it was on up to now form is have my top 10 but anymore and they'd probs all be similar
I'll leave out Rohan because he's out for the season and in development, so it's impossible to guess where he'd be right now anyway.
1. Teddy - we have the midfielders to cover Kennedy, Jack, etc, but we don't have anyone who can cover Richards
2. Mumford - provided he's fit
3. Kennedy
4. Jack
5. Jetta
6. Mattner
7. Grundy
8. AJ
9. Smith
10. McVeigh
11. ROK
12. Goodes

15. Jude
16. Pyke
17. Reid
18. Bird

Forwards are generally lower than defenders because I feel our success has been much more due to, and therefore rests upon, our defensive group. Pyke has jumped well and truly out of our bottom 6 over the last two weeks as well.
I tried a list and then found I couldn't rank my Swannies like this!! It's also hard because a level of indispensibility is determined by the alternatives you have available. For example, we can do without Parker at the moment because the other mids are fit. We can afford to rest Mummy because of the emergence of Pyke. The one guy we can't replace in the short term IMO is Richards, so he'd be my undisputed no. 1 on this list. The others can be covered to some degree but I think we'd really miss Ted. My 22 is the current team (that played St Kilda) with TDL in and Everitt out.

AFL Insider had a segment last night about the most important player for each team. Brad Scott covered the Swans, and settled for Jetta. (Discussion centred around Jack and Goodes as also being possibles.)
That got me thinking about who the player I'd least like the team to lose right now for an extended period. Traditionally the answer would have been an easy "Goodes" because he was clearly our most potent matchbreaker. But half a season without him playing (or still searching for match fitness) has taught us that the team can well and truly win without Goodes firing.
Mummy is definitely important, though at least we have some competent stand-ins. Collectively our midfield is critical to ongoing success this year, but if we lost any one of Kennedy, Jack, McVeigh et I'd hope the rest could stand up and cover that (with the aid of Parker returning). Reid is important structurally but his direct contribution right now isn't great enough for him to be close to the most important player.
In the end I decided my answer was Ted. While I think the whole defence has worked well together, and each one has performed well on both an individual level and collectively, it is hard to ignore Ted as the conductor of the whole affair. We already get to witness a few moments each game when some combination of Mattner, Smith, Reg or Shaw loses their minds for a while and create goals out of nothing for the opposition. But generally Ted has been there to steady the ship. And when the defence has been bombarded by an opposition run-on, it has been Ted taking intercept mark after intercept mark after intercept mark. I therefore fear not only the loss of Ted for his own contribution, but also for the calming and organisational effect he appears to be having on the rest of the defence.
im presuming mummy is available parker is on the way back and rohan is out for the season
