whinge or no whinge - they cannot hide from the fact that they were absolutely smashed in the grand final - no amount of excuses could hide that fact - totally outclassed - and it is a delight to see - WOBBLE WOBBLE
Extra salary cap concessions do not build mental toughness , guts and heart and a tremendous desire to win . The concessions may help to retain a few players but at the start of the season about a dozen Lions took salary cuts to keep the side together . Quality leadership and direction play a big part in the Lions winning formula.
gotta say - even though I'm not a great fan of the Bottle Blonde - boy he played a blinder - I think the lions realised that the rest of Australia were behind them - well done Voss & Co, though I wish it had have been us.
Anyway friends & Swans fans - 2004 will be the year of the Swan!
cheers
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
Chickens drink - but they don't pee!
AGE IS ONLY IMPORTANT FOR TWO THINGS - WINE & CHEESE!
a "non AFL" colleague of mine was in Melbourne on the weekend and she ended up at a pub in the city, as she was originally from Brisbane anyway, she would naturally go for the Lions.
Well she was so taken by the atmosphere that she wants to actually go to a Grand Final. She went to the Swans Essendon game last year at Telstra and she was amazed at how different the crowd is (compared to Rugby). So perhaps another convert to the cause!
Agreed the Lions were incredible and so deserved to win on the day.
So they have done the "threepeat" lets hope they dont get to the "fourplay" (Ackers words, not mine!)
Swannies for 2004!
