The atmosphere is crap at the moment at the SCG and a lot of people are staying away because of the rubble. The other thing is the very limited GA at the SCG this season gets rid of a whole lot of the non-wealthy. When the tickets suddenly go from $28 for GA to $40 for Gold it suddenly gets a bit expensive for a weekly outing for many people. So I think it is the AFL & Tickatek who are to blame for any games not full this season.
Wolfie you have said before that you sit in the red zone, well you must be tucked away in a corner somewhere cause I've found the atmosphere far better in the Trumper then most games ever where in the Noble. The atmosphere sitting in the Trumper concourse particularly in The Saints, Cats, Crows games has been incredible.

You all need to remember that the AFL draw was released well before the redevelopment was announced - January if my memory serves me well, far too late to make changes to scheduling. Next year you might see games like the Hawks moved to ANZ as the powers that be know that a quarter of the available SCG seating is missing.

        NO WAY JOSE!!
The game belongs at the SCG - you really don't want to be giving the poos and wees too much room to run around in!

Sydney bandwagoners are the problem here peeps - too many people, not enough seats. The other problem is members who don't turn up to the games.
We have a guy who sits in front of us who attends the first game of the year, then we don't see him again.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I believe the AFL schedules the games, not the Swans.

Idea has merit, especially given we're likely to play at least one final out there. Won't happen but.

That number is going to be hard to reach if people aren't able to experience it in an affordable manner before becoming hooked on the experience and becoming loyal, long serving, year in year out members.

It appears that you missed the point that I was implying that you were lucky to have tickets for all the people that you wanted to attend, and decided to take it as a barb. But I guess how you react is totally up to you
No I don't take your comments as a barb, just ironic.

Anyway, any home finals we have will be played at the olympic calamity, there will be plenty of tickets available....so take your mates there.

Next season it would be good to move some of the smaller crowd pulling teams like dogs/Roos/Freo/port to Skoda rather than ANZ.
Like to play there. Nice ground.
Prefer SCG but ultimately don't care. I'll go wherever they play.

Isn't the capacity of Skoda smaller than that of the SCG even with three stands knocked down? I am not sure I understand the logic of the Swans playing any games at Skoda.

Can't do that. Contracts for SCG and ANZ are in place for years to come.

                            Why "thankfully"?

From all accounts, Skoda Stadium is not a bad sort of venue.

If we're going to pull sub-20K crowds against some teams, I see no reason we couldn't experiment with the occasional home game there.

It would be a bit of fun - something different. I'm sure the Giants would sell us the right to do it.

We already have two home grounds, why on earth would we want another one?

Nah, I loves me my SCG. Even in its current state of discombobulation.
