Sorry. I missed this if it has been discussed elsewhere. I just spoke to the Melbourne office about getting tickets to the Hawks game. I want to come up from Melbourne with my daughter. She Vic Gold Junior member, me Vic Premiership Gold. The conditions asterisk that entry for these levels of membership is "subject to capacity".
Ben at the Melbourne office, who was very helpful BTW, said that demand is expected to outweigh supply and that Vic members will have to go through a registration process to get in. Information will be forthcoming shortly in an email.
Alternatively I can upgrade through Ticketek, supply member barcodes and recieve the discount on reserved seating. I tried this and found the online process confusing or it was telling me that there were not two seats together left. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can do it over the phone.
Anyways, I just wanted to let other Vic members planning to go know that the asterisk is likely to come into play and that you should make some effort to secure tickets asap.
In addition, I was hoping members wiser than I and who may be more regular visitors to the SCG than I can share their ticket procurement strategies with me to make sure my daughter and I get to see the game.
A full house (of sorts) could make this a memorable game.
