    Another win? Lovely!
    A win in Melbourne? Fantastic!
Still top of the ladder? Magnificent!
Killing Carlton's chances for the finals? Aboslutely priceless!

    Go the mighty Bloods!

It's been a nice ride, we just need it to continue for 7 more games.

Thank goodness we don't play on that wretched ground too often - I had my heart in my mouth every time one of our players went to ground and the turf flew. We could easily have seen Johnson, Hanners, McGlynn & LRT join Jude on the sidelines if certain incdients had gone badly.

Lovely win, plenty to improve on, but much that is going very right indeed. Next week a fabulous test for us.

Kudos to the defenders, especially Ted and Smithy. The midfield stood up well. TDL knows where to be, McGlynn's accuracy has improved exponentially and LRT continues to prove his usefulness. Appropriately, ROK did a good job.
I resolved before the game not to boo the umps, but the call of holding the ball against TDL when it should have gone his way overcame my resolve. Some umps need a bit of outside-the-fence assistance.
yes the TDL decision was as bad as when Teddy had his arm dragged down wqhen he was marking unopposed 10m out from their goal. He then dropped it with his one hand he had available and they scooped it up and kicked a goal. Ump was right there... I was back of the stands and saw it, I booed a bit at the time and waited for the replay to confirm it.... @@@@house.

Jetta is an electrifying machine, those runs... all supporters were cheering him on.

There were a couple of times where I packed up ready to go but fortunately I didn't have too.

                  +1

Considering the flack that ANZ gets from the vic media and visiting teams, it is amazing how little is said about Eticrud Stadium. Everything about the place is great except the playing surface.

More turf gets flung up there when blokes hit the ground than during a mid week winter race on a heavy 9 at Flemington. All around the boundaries it looks like cheap thin astroturf and even around the goal posts looks like a patchwork quilt.

Add to that a tenant club (Essendon) who reckon the surface is breaking their players and we are very very fortunate to not have to play there too often!

The etihad surface has been very good of recent times, I watch at least a couple of games played there every week on TV and haven't noticed the surface at all. if it was particularly bad On Sunday ( I didn't notice ) it would be the first time in quite a while it has caused problems. If it was that bad the media here would be all over it like a cheap suit.

I can't see why they dont put in one of the new synthetic turfs that are being promoted by the AFL at junior level. Very impressive.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.
