TDL is just too slow, surely Morton or Spangher have to be better options.

I think Spangher is the only realistic chance but that will be dependent on Reid's fitness - I can't see them both coming in as this would change the forward structure.

I was very vocal (in a written kind of way) in the LRT isn't a forward debate, but I take it all back - he was sensational tonight and worked his ass off.
As someone else on here said, he was our ONLY forward.

Goodes might be injured but that doesn't explain the lack of urgency or the dreadful decision making that was a hallmark of his play tonight. If he's injured he shouldn't be playing, simple as that.

Totally agree. If LRT had been given the free kicks he earnt for being pushed in the back ,wrestled to the ground, having his arms smashed while marking he would have kicked 6 and won us the game.He was terrific at the contest while Goodes never turned up to the contest.I don't like to criticise the guy coz he is a champion but I would have to say that that is probably the worse game I have seen him play. Picking out the Collingwood player all on his own topped it off.

Thanks for the laugh this morning. I really needed that.

We missed Reid, Bolton and Goodes last night. Not having those 3 there really was the difference.

I'd bring in Morton for TDL next week. (Reid too if he's fit)

LRT was one of our best. I like TDL, but he doesn't get enough ball, especially contested ball, in big games. Spangher is a highly competitive, big game player - let's get him in.

Wow, way to ruin your credibility! This is the most stupid suggestion I have ever seen.

thought our decision making last night was really poor....particularly in front of goal....the team looked hesititant in backing themselves to take shots from 40 out but this may have been because the pies pressure was really good...i'm a TDL fan but he really needs to work harder on his forward pressure...LRT was fabulous last night....but really doubt horse will be making many (if any) changes for the doggies...thought mummy was outstanding last night as well

... and give Goodes more time in the midfield.

i disagree on his forward pressure he had 5 tackles and was doing well in that area, the reason our forward line fell flat last night was for one reason we failed to make the collingwood forwardline accountable for their man. It is the tried and tested way of beating collingwood you need to have maxwell, reid and o'brien defending their own opponents and not being able to zone off. We really missed Reid last night.

Firstly TDL was dissapointing but you need to rememeber he is a leading forward and good kick at goal. The slippery conditions and one on one nature of this game did not suit him. He might not be a good finals player.
LRT: OK he was not the worst last night for sure. He tried his arse off but the trouble is he doesn't have tricks and again did not take a contested mark. In fact he only took one mark. Cloke, Dawes and Tarrant took a total of 17 marks. That was the difference. Because Goodes played possibly his worst game in ten years did not help matters at all. On the brighter side I was amazed with LRT's running goal from 50m. For us to win the premiership we need a forward line. Spanger must be tried next week to see what he can offer.

Best players last night: Kennedy, Jack, Shaw, O'keefe , L Parker
Had a bag game compared to the norm: Hanneberry, Pyke, McGlynn, Dennis Lane.

also agree with this. We had too many players around the contest all night and then often cleared the ball straight into Collingwoods arms. Poor strategy and looked just like our game plan under Roos. Very Dissapointing!
