LRT was fantastic worked his butt off all night, Goodes had a shocker very poor descion making terrible skills on the night. I think LRT and Goodes can work up FWD but we need Sam Reid or another key forward. Goodes plays as a HF not a key Fwd he needs to get 3rd best defender. If Reid is still injured TDL for Spanger/Morton or even White IMO we need one more tallish fwd.
Cheers

Out: Goodes
In: Spangher (if he's fit)
Goodes had one of the worst games I've ever seen him play last night. He seems to be injured and needs a rest.
Leave Reid out until his leg is completely healed. Another week should do the trick.Comment

Leave Goodes out? Surely you jest. He needs game time to get himself back into sync and subsequently form. He does this every year and plays himself into form as finals approaches but this year due to the injury setback that schedule might be pushed back a little.Comment

Not sure what the thinking was having Armstrong as the sub.
He's a lively player with good skills...Definitely looks to have a future.....
But to expect an impact from him, in what was always going to be a physical, intense game...he's not that type of player.
Would have much preferred Everitt for that role, he's done it well this year a few times already....
What happened to him? Did he play reserves?
Changes;
OUT : Armstrong
In : Everitt (as sub)Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

No he didn't play reservesComment

Goodes doesnt need to spend more time in the airfield. He needs to keep playing the forward 50, but start playing as a lead up forward again, instead of as a resting midfielder/crumber. His game against the Crows was fantastic, and showed he could do it.
No fancy tricks, no stupid dish offs.
Just strong leads, good marks, and backed himself with the set shots.Comment

It's the right thinking, but against Pies they flooded our forward line so much no one could get a run at teh ball, think it may be time, against the Dogs, to try something else with the fwd line, as much as we can probably beat them without one, we will need to find some winners against Hawks and Geelong
We tried to actually hit up targets in the last quarter, but for some reason delivered lace out to the pies spare men.
So it's a combination of @@@@ skills, lazy forwards, and reckless mids.Comment

The reason why he succeeded against the crows was that they mostly played small midfielder types like Reilly and Doughty on him. Against genuine key position players he fails time and time again.Comment
