ROK has a 57% conversion rate. (242.181). Not sure what the league average is but that % doesn't sound horrendous over a long career. Of course the set shot % may be considerably lower. My recollection of ROk earlier in his career was that he was an awful set shot...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I haven't checked the stats, but I think O'Keefe has a pretty fair conversion rate over the past two seasons or so. And once he got over his 19 behinds, Jetta has emerged as a very good set shot. Jude is another who seems to have picked up since playing forward more often.
Adam Goodes has managed to be in deficit or even twice in 2004 he kicked 9.10 & 2007 9.9. But the site doesn't give the set shot percentages for either player. Just at a guess I would say that most of Goodsie's goals would be from either snaps or close in set shots whereas Ryano has hit quite a lot of goals on the run or on the set from distance.Comment

Agree Birdie would have been a better shot but he wasn't in the mix for the shot. Basically it was Ryano or Goodes but it should have been ryano's free.Comment

I'm happy to admit that Goodes is not my favourite player. This is because i have high expectations of him that he rarely excels to.
The man would have to have the one of the smallest football IQs ever. In the past this hasn't been a problem due to his athletic ability and freakish skills but now the constant wrong decisions and mistakes are highlighted more than ever.
He does sook too much - Our only hope is that he gets some form because once he has form he holds it and can be breathtaking in a good way. Must be played in midfield or wing.
Let Spangher or Morton make a contest in the forward lineComment

Yes and sometimes this season I have been pretty angry at what I considered selfish play from Adam. When he had a chance to give the ball off he didn't and decided to do it all himself. On these occasions it either came apart or he botched a shot at goal from a very difficult angle when another player was in better posie. He needs to lose the attitude he needs to do it all himself as he has some pretty top players around him. I thought that kick across goal Saturday night one of the most bizarre things I have seen him do as all he needed to do was handball over the top and we has a surefire goal.Comment

Clearly Goodes is playing injured. He certainly isn't moving too well. They could rest him against the Bulldogs, and bring in Spangher or Morton or (dare I say it) Jesse from the 2s. If we can't beat the Bulldogs because Goodesy isn't there then we have problems. In a very tight, contested game like the Collingwood game (171 tackles were laid, as opposed to 124 in the West Coast-Geelong game) Goodesy is likely to struggle, and he did. You can't blame them for picking him last week. He is a proven thoroughbred, and has played injured for entire seasons before and deserved his spot in the 22.Comment

Jesse has played well in the twos (see Swans TV on the official website) and seems to have joined Mike Pyke in the Brotherhood of the Black Glove, but I don't see him playing firsts unless there are several injuries. I'd sooner see Spang come in, he's a proven player at firsts level. I don't think this is the time to be blooding Morton; his turn will come next year.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. I for one will be happy, and fully expect him, to hit his best form in about 3 or 4 weeks time, and just hold it for about a month ... after all, we are top of the ladder, with virtually zero contribution from him so far
Goodesy is the X - Factor (or The Voice, or Australia's Got Talent ... whatever your favourite is!!!) ... NO not Big Brother or Lara Bingle

Why would goodsey be playing if he was injured??? I think it's an excuse for his poor form, unfortunately its just been one of those years for him and luckily the team isnt so reliant on him to perform anymore for us to win (except for the other night). He'll bounce back like the champion he is.Comment
