It has just been posted on the AFL website that Merv Neagle has been killed in a truck crash. I remember hime as a great Swans and Bombers wingman. My condolences to his family.

Yeah, very sad.
I remember fondly, watching him ply his trade on the wing for the Swans ,during the late eighties...
A combination of hardness and class, he was a beauty.

Very young and it seems he has quite a few youngish kids too, so it is a greater tragedy than it appears.
He was a fantastic player - unfortunately injured a lot at the Swans - but he had it all: Pace, Balance, Good Kick, Aggression in spades and Class.Comment
