The listed players who played were Spangher, Walsh, Moore, White, Meredith, TDL (injured early), Heath (injured second half), Lamb, Amstrong, Everitt, Brown and McNeil.

So excluding those who've been injured for a while, players missing included Cunningham, Lynch and Nipper (senior emergency?).

One of the field umpires got flattened off the ball in the first quarter - on the deck for some minutes and the game stopped. Left the ground with an icepack to the head.
The other umpires did nothing but hold up the game til he was off so they apparently saw nothing. I didn't either.

My guess is that someone is going to pay bigtime for that - who saw the incident ?

I didn't see it justabaraker. Just heard the comment from another spectator that the umpire was down and the emergency ump was taking his trackies off and warming up.

Cunningham, Lynch, Nippa and Kruger omitted from the side named yesterday. I would hazard a guess that they're implementing some sort of rotational system and those 4 will get a run next week.

I think those who've been on the cusp of senior selection all year will stay in the side to make sure they're match fit if needed for a senior call up - so Everitt, Armstrong, Walsh will probably stay. Moore is the general and probably in his last campaign so they'd be daft (and cruel) not to keep playing him. White is the only ruck in the team (and could yet be required in the senior team if we get an injury to Pyke or LRT), while Meredith and Spangher are seasoned bodies that I think they'll want to keep playing. Brown and McNeil look the most likely to be rotated out. Maybe Lamb too. And, of course, spots may open up with the injuries to TDL and Heath.

I really hope Heath's injury, in particular, isn't too bad. He's had a rotten trot with injury over his short time at the club and it has been great finally seeing him string a whole season of good football together.

We play queanbeyan next week Sat 2pm at Manuka which unfortunately clashes with the Geelong game so even if they have a live stream it wouldn't really be possible to watch both

I might just have to move my computer monitor next to the telly for Saturday next week if they do have a live stream! I'd love to go out to the game at Manuka, but I will have too much university study to do (have two exams on the following week plus an assignment - eek!), but I'll be watching both games closely to see how we get on.

I thought Broome got several goals. The official scorers say Armstrong kicked 4 but I would be very surprised if he did as he plays half back. I would think they are getting Tony mixed up with young Broome, how racist! They don't look vaguely alike! I wasn't there Ugg!!!

Probably not a racist mix up, but perhaps rather that Broome follows Armstrong in an alphabetical listing of the players. Maybe someone put the number 4 in a box just above where it should have gone.

In Broome's first game where he kicked 5 they gave all of those goals to Brown (still there on the website). So it's not so much a case of racism as pure incompetence.

Not wanting to be too critical, does anyone else think that the pic here of Spang is from someone's phone, or a screen capture from the stream of the game?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

... is anyone really surprised? ... maybe they've only just received the AFL draw at the NEAFL ... Here is their challenge though, how can they ensure clashes beyond next weekend???? ... talk about "dumb and dumber"
