    Finals start this week for us

    Are we good enough?

    Outstanding defensive unit, best in the league, 1 maybe 2 all Australians.

    Midfield; best depth in the league, on par if not better than pies ( they are down some) 2 all Australians

    Ruck; second best combo behind coasters

    Forward; unpredictable, big key forward, 2 very good marking resting rucks. 1 wrecking ball who allows crumbers.

          No technically not. Certainly, as Longmire mentioned earlier this week, we won't be revealing all of our hand this week, but to some extent we still have something to prove to ourselves. (I think) Burt likens these next two weeks to finals because there is pressure on us this game to at least compete well.

          Premiership winners are always teams that have enormous self-belief, who have zero doubt in their ability to beat their opposition. If we head into W1 of the finals knowing, and I mean really knowing that week can beat (or match) Geelong, Hawthorn, Collingwood (even game that we lost off our own boot), Adelaide (flip of the coin game we lost), West Coast, North and Freo then our quest for the premiership is completely in our own hands. Last year that final against Hawthorn was one where I (rightly) questioned our competitiveness before the game. This year (hopefully) there will be no need to avoid certain teams, or be content with a prelim.

          I honestly think this knowledge does wonders for players. A psychological edge to a certain extent.

              Exciting isn't it!

              Until proven otherwise, I'm happy to take heart and confidence from the prevailing evidence that our team are the highest ranked, and have been for a long time (i.e. it's no fluke). Saturday is a big test for sure, but passing tests is what winning flags is all about.

              And our boys will pass this one with an excellent win!! Go Swans!

                      It is exciting - I'm nervous and I just hope we just okay our natural game - forget the hype and the "Buddy" stuff and play hard and honest accountable footy - we only hv to win by a point but I'd prefer, for our collective hearts, minds and ladder positions sake, thatcwe gave a comfy win. Love our boys - just go it Swannies'!!!

                          Teddy will take care of Buddy, just as he did earlier in the year! Play our brand of footy and it'll be a good contest, and we are good enough to win today. We can do it, if we believe we are good enough and execute to the best of our ability.

                          A huge test for our developing squad today, but one I think we will pass with flying colours.

                          Come on you bloods, show us what you are made of!
