LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Good luck ! Inexcusably , I also left it too late to get tickets to that suburban stone-age ground. If you can't make it to the game at whatever-it's-called-this week-stadium , I suggest you :

(a)find a mate who has Foxtel

    or

(b)go to a bar http://www.melbournebars.com.au/southmelbourne/ or Sydney Sports Bars , but call beforehand to check if they are showing the game.

One end of the stadium looks like the SCG (a bomb site) , so you could just stand there and watch it for free

The other alternative is to go into media blackout until the delayed telecast on Ch7 at 3pm. Not the same I know but it's better than nothing!

I managed to ask around some friends in geelong and got a spare ticket with a cats member who I've never met, but there is standing room that you don't need tickets for, you just have to get there early to make sure you get a spot.

Live on Foxtel. Delayed on FTA because of the earlier than usual start. I assume the early start is to allow the Swans to get back to Sydney on Saturday and minimise recovery disadvantage of having to travel interstate.

Incorrect. You must have purchased a ticket before you front up. No sales at the gate so you can't just rock up. Has been like this for a number of years. Don't know about Geelong supporters but certainly the case for visiting supporters, even AFL members.

My bad, I've always gone with Geelong members.

So it seems Geelong members can rock up and buy standing room tickets but opposing team members can't. Strange setup if true.

This year is a little different due to the Doug Wade stand having been demolished. I am almost tempted to front up and see if my members ticket will scan so I can get in.

At least it's not for you to get home, if you can't get in.

I go on holidays to places not far from Geelong, so the couch is looking good for me on Saturday.
