    Vlad

I know roosy is not keen, but vlad never fails to impress. He was on 360 tonight, the afl is very lucky to have someone of his calibre in charge. He takes heaps of crap from supporters and the media, most of which is innuendo and unwarranted.

Yep totally agree. After watching 360, his responses were articulate, he is always put on the spot and answers with validity.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

That would be "answers with Vladity" wouldn't it :-)

Yeh, he cops a lot of flack but I think he is very impressive. He probably wishes he could take back his 2005 comment about the style of footy being played north of the border.

I think he's fantastic. Just need him to sort the MRP out and he'd be perfect.

He's not God, just the CEO!

            Yep the MRP is crap.

Ziebell was a shocking verdict and in the wash up, was Goodes the only player outed for sliding?

Both are desperately stiff to have done time.

I actually don't think goodsey was stiff. He had plenty of warning and was stupid. Zeibell on the other hand was a shocker

He has never apologised to Dale Lewis for rubbishing him about drug use in the AFL which has since been proven correct, he refuses to listen to the people of Tasmania who still want a team there but he imposed a second team on the people of Sydney, none of whom I ever heard ask for one. He approved North's inane attempt to move here and then Canberra.... Do not like him.

                    Vlad

I can think of few more successful CEOs in Australia right now.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Yes he does seem to know how to make a profit! Most of the CEO's in Australia at the moment are recycled Americans who gut companies and then get out before the rot sets in.

He's on top of most issues AFL. I like him. How many games did he play?

I think he's awful. Thought his approach to negotiations with the AFLPA was deplorable. Scary man, without a doubt, and would not want to be up against him - all jolly and warm as long when people are agreeing with him, and high-handed, old-school arrogance when they don't. No thanks.

(I keep re-reading this thread and am SURE you must all be being ironic, but it's too subtle for me if so.)

                            Re: Vlad

I still question his approach to expanding the game, his mindset seems like one of empire-building rather than based on a genuine understanding of the target markets. I guess that's what people like Sheeds are there for. But there's no questioning his passion for the game and management skills. This doesn't mean he shouldn't be held accountable by the game's ultimate stakeholders, the fans, when he does get things wrong...
