    Goodes...NOW is your time!

Adam, last time you played the Crows, you had them on a string! 6 goals from memory before the quad brought you down.

This is what you play for...they have no obvious match up for you! Find your form, dominate and help bring the Swannies home!

Hasn't his time been every week since returning from injury.

Will next week be any different?

Fair question! I guess I was alluding to the fact his last really good game for us this season was V the Crows prior to his injury. They had no clear match up on him. Fair to say...we would probably won that game had he stayed on the park in the final quarter.

We'll find out after the season he has been playing with a significant injury I bet.

I fear we're looking at the beginning of the end - he'll play next year of course, but I think we are past the days of Goodsey being our number 1 go to guy. Hopefully he'll be handy next year and I'd like to see him run thru the midfield a bit more again instead of in the forward line - or even down back a bit more? One of our absolute greats but he is coming towards the end unfortunately...

I still remember the game he had in the u/18s grand final in 1998. Watched it on tele and knew he'd be a gun player.

                    Geez we judge goodes harshly.

19 posessions, 2 goals, 7 marks today. Seems we expect him to get 25 pos n kick 4 goals every week. Ridiculous

It's a bit hard not to. When he does mark it he misses targets and when he doesn't he struggles to get near it.

He really only matches p well against Adelaide. Harry Taylor, Gibson and the collingwood key position defenders have got his measure as a forward.

He seemed really frustrated yesterday and his negativity adversely affected the team.

As I pointed out last week, Adam Goodes can no longer be relied upon as our deus ex machina. He lacks the stamina to go to the middle when we're in trouble.
He is judged harshly , because he has set such a stratospheric standard , so criticism is ironically a credit to his greatness .
As he is now performing below that standard, it would not be a surprise to see him retire at season's end.
