Jetta's Seasons and the Final Series

I've got to say I was surprised to see Jetta named in the AA Squad. I thought he'd dropped off enough over the past 8 weeks to be excluded, and certainly don't expect to see him in the final team. He will be very important to the Swans playing on the larger grounds during the finals series, but has shown he is susceptible to a tag.

Would he be more damaging if allowed to drag his opponent forward and play one out as a leading forward?

I'm happy to see him in a wing/midfield role, and as one of our most accurate kicks, his delivery into the forward 50 is valuable. But I'd like to see him in the forward 50 a bit more often to get the most value from his goalkicking.

No way, not strong enough in overhead contests. Complete waste of his talent

Nice theory. No way any finals team will let him sit in 50 with just one defender behind him. +1 at every contest backing into the space in front. He would not stand a chance

Yeah the problem is teams have started to take more notice of him probably from the second half of the year onwards and have been doing their homework, he does deserve AA selection IMO though. Hopefully he can get back to his best in the finals, as difficult as that may be.

Correct. They were very loose on Jetta and his lack of confidence did the rest.

As I said before, at the ground he just seemed to be stuck in the defensive 50 jogging out when we broke on the other side of the ground. Fitness/injury/game plan or confidence I don't know. He seemed to move ok.
