    LRT vs the Crows

Seems likely that LRT will be playing back.

Is anyone else hopeful that he has a blinder and keeps Walker (presumably) to 2 handballs?

    Likely IMO.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

If he plays back, as is likely, he will stand Tippett and Teddy will take Walker. No brainer.

Will need to get a working relationship with Alex Johnston very quickly! He will need the cover and I agree that Tippett is his man.

Teddy to take Walker and Smith (Dangerfield) as cover..

          Rebound by Shaw and Mal.

          Marty is the loose defender!

(And Reg will owe you all for covering for him!)

I'm feeling very comfortable with LRT going back - and it'll be a nightmare for the new Crows to know how LRT will play as a back. Forward to replace? Walsh or Morton, I presume. And the loss of Reg may be just the call to arms that the team needs - if the mids don't limit supply, the Crows will kill us with their forward options. But if Jack, Hanners, Shaw etc go back to their usual intensity I expect we'll give this a real shake.

If we don't win this weekend I don't have much hope we'll be in the GF - the last month of footy has been too long, too hard to deal with every game of a finals series. We need a week off and ironically the Crows need a few hard games if they are going to win the Premiership. So we win and it's win-win.

Yep these are my thoughts also.
My dream scenario is we beat Crows, get a week off (and heaven knows we need it), the Crows go on to beat the Cats, we beat WC in the prelim, Crows beat Hawks (I did say I was dreaming) and it all ends up as a Swans V Crows GF!
Would be a bloody good game. Crows are as crap at the MCG as we are, makes Malthouse look like the tool he is for saying that neither of us belong and Tony Jewell would have to present the Jock McHale medal to one of THOSE interstate teams.

                Ahhhhh wouldn't it be lovely.........

Dont buy that. Weve played 3 hard games out of the last 5. While difficult, not exactly unexpected. Most of the other top 8 teams have played each other in the past month as well.

If 3 hard games is to hard to deal with, 2 of which were at home, we really are pretenders.

I think that's just how we feel as supporters! I hope the players aren't thinking that way.

Surely Smith can't run with Dangerfield? Too strong, too quick and I doubt Smith would have the tank. Bird and/or O'Keefe to get the job I reckon - not that either of them have the pace either. He's a very tough match-up.

I'd think Jack would be the best match but I don't think they'll go head to head....

I'd play Shaw on Dangerfield. Smith will be used on Johncock if he goes forward. It might give Smith a little more freedom to use the ball if he doesn't have an opponent he has to hard tag the whole game anyway. Bird to Thompson perhaps?

Agree that LRT will play on Tippett & Teddy on Walker.

Dangerfield's a fair bit like Goodes was, untaggable at their best. He is certainly more than capable of going in and getting his own ball and when he does, guys like ROK and Parks have to make sure he doesn't get out with it. If he is sitting on the outside waiting to be fed, we have to try and stop clean supply, where somebody like Bird on Thompson will be pivotal...

Who gets Callinan? Very dangerous, kicks a couple most weeks. 4 in each of his last 3 games.
