Hawks vs. Pies is good so far.

I'm ashamed to say, but I've enjoyed the contest/spectacle so much that when Hawthorn were really getting on top in the first I was actually almost cheering for Collingwood just so they'd keep it close.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

There'll be some blokes having a few sleepless nights until Monday, particularly in light of the S Johnson decision.
Maxwell and Roughead are in a bit of froth and bubble I'd reckon...Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

Non-Swans Finals Games
He's ( being Maxwell) gotta cop at least two for that surely, the crappy camera angle ( which is apparently the only one available, which is staggering) may help him. as it stands it may not matter too much, pies out in straight sets ? I'd love to see that !Comment

Hawks look irresistable at the moment. They score heavily and have a good spread of goal kickers. Their defence is solid and midfield is top class. 2nd tier players are good.
The flag is theirs to lose imo, they have one hand on the cup.Comment

Non-Swans Finals Games
1 notable weakness. Their defence can't handle a big strong dominant forward. Cloke, Hawkins for example. Too bad we don't have one ....Comment

Maxwell would have to be the dumbest (or stupidest, take your pick) captain in the AFL. A real goose, which is proven every time he is interviewed.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

They really do, don't they. They just seem to be a scoring threat when they have the ball on any part of the ground, they remind me of a more skillful version of the dominant Geelong teams; when Geelong got the ball pretty much anywhere you knew they were just going to bash and crash and chance their arm to get the ball into a scoring position, this Hawthorn squad looks capable of doing similar but with slightly less bash and slighty more pinpoint field passing. Really a joy to watch.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
