    Expectations

At the start of the year, I hoped we would make top four and then get into a prelim. We now have. It feels good. ReeeaaaL good. Who know here we'll go from here? Well done horse, well done Bloods!

    Re: Expectations

I'll admit that they've exceeded my expectations this year. I thought 2013 and on was when we would seriously challenge. The fact they've developed so quickly into a contender is an amazing effort from everyone involved with the club.

Well Powerade has been known to cause my stomach to be sucked into uncomfortable levels and if can do that I reckon it's helped for sure.

I thought we'd be real contenders in 2014 when most of the young guns had almost 100 games.

When you consider the most promising player on the list has missed the vast majority of the year and we have a top 5 pick in Mitchell who hasn't played - I'd say exceeds expectations already.

          Still 2 games to go...

Following the Hawthorn loss, I was confident of beating Adelaide in Adelaide.
So now we get a week off and a home Prelim against Collingwood/WCE/North

I think the biggest plus in our favor isn't the home final, but next week's Semi being a bruising battle.

I would hope that whomever we play is out of gas and too weary.

I can't see Adelaide or Freo getting anywhere near close Hawthorn.

I want us to play Collingwood so we can beat them and put their streak to rest.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Expectations pre season, I thought we'd be knocking on the door of he top four.

Now it has come together beautifully for us. We are in a home prelim, we've got a two week break to freshen up and play against someone who will come off a six day break from a (hopefully) bruising encounter where they may also suffer frther injuries.

And, if we can win the prelim, we play against Hawthorn who we've beaten once this year and should have beaten twice.

It may never be as well set up for glory again, we are a HUGE chance now. That win yesterday catapulted us from making up the finals numbers to be real contenders.

Thanks GS14 (a) for fixing the typo, and (b) for cleaning up the thread. The neighbourhood has improved out of sight - your work is much appreciated by the other residents!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Thanks, for me I was more than a little surprised that there was so much crap after we won. What would it have been like had we lost?
