"I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005
Must, must stay in for the preliminary, especially with mcglynn injured. He definately adds something to the forward line, should of been in the team weeks ago.
Cometh the hour, cometh the man. There must have been plenty of times during the year when the hard-heads in the Swans inner sanctum doubted if he'd make it; but based on today alone (bearing in mind that we picked him up for nothing), it's another triumph for our recruiters.
Even had McGlynn not been injured, very hard to imagine that you could drop a man after that performance.
His handball to Goodes to set up the Jetta goal, superb. He did the team things, at least a couple of good spoils, went in hard. It was that stuff, as much as the goals, that makes me think he's a keeper. He knows what bloods footy is about now, and he's obliging. Good on ya Mitch !
Mitch Morton is a talented forward no doubt, and just what we need, it was a good game from him yesterday, the recruiters should be praised he COULD be a 100 gamer for us, defensive forwards are needed but you have to have some natural forward types too with that goal sense/smarts. Looking forward, he has played a lot of footy at MCG too!
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren
A keeper - has footy smarts, clean disposal and can kick a goal.
Good recruiting for a ND pick (78?) we were never going to use and Richmond never intended to use either. Nice way by the releasing team to make sure a player who they know has little or no trade value gets to where he wants to go without the lottery of the drafts.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
I like him - he is another recycled Player who may finally feel at home somewhere. And to me he looked quite at home in our team yesterday. How excitement!!!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
