    Our New Core

With our favourite sons ROK, Bolts, Goodesy, coming to the pointy ends of their careers i think the seemless transition between our older core and younger core is very exciting. We have had the ability to nurture our youngsters in the team and create that balance between experience and youth.

    Johnson: 20
    Reid: 20
    Rohan: 21
    Hannebery: 21
    Parker: 19
    Mitchell: 19
    Jetta: 23

Even the other blokes in our team are only slightly older then our youngsters:

    JPK: 24
    Smith: 24
    Mummy: 26
    Kizza: 25

I think with our older core and our youngsters coming through our premiership window will be continuous for the next 5 years.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

KJ will be the captain eventually. If the co-captaincy thing is alive , Parker will be as well.

Joey definitely in the leadership group, but I kind of agree with Swansinger. Would never have put Kiz in the captaincy race until this year and hearing him speak so well. Strong possibility. And I have had Luke tagged from the getgo. Old head on young shoulders, with a very steady outlook.

But as there are about 6 years between them there may be a natural progression, so then why not Kiz & Kennedy as joint captains. One day.

True, I had read somewhere that he was working on his leadership skills

Hopefully by the end of next year we will be able to add Lamb and Morton to that core group.

Despite not being in the leadership group, Joey's leadership to me is epitomised by the fact that he is a big game player. Not just becasue he's a great finals player, but becasue more often than not he's one of our best when we lose. He's a fighter; how often have we seen him will his teammates into a fightback?

Kizza is just special. Incredible work ethic, gun player, throws himself into contests and a very kind, honest young man.

This club will not be bereft of leadership when Jude, ROK and Goodes retire.

What about Birdy? Wouldn't he be part of the core as well?
