He would be a very satisfied man tonight. Very proud of him and Joey to overcome others doubts and prove their ability. A testament to tenacity and hardwork!

After all those surprises you could pick another team to beat the official one. Include J Riewoldt, the Big Pav, Sam Mitchell, Joel Selwood, Gibson, LRT in defence and so on.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

its a pretty fair team in my opinion. the obvious one is Nic nat.. so cox into the ruck and Pavlich into the pocket. that is criminal.. w.a must be in a frenzy.

Pavlich didn't turn up until half way through the year, same as Jets hardly got a touch for the last 4-5 games of the regular season. I agree Joey should have started.
I guess we will get to see how KJ stacks up against Swan and Pendles fairly soon.

Great to see Joey and Teddy make the team.

            Rioli was very lucky.

Jetts had a great season (hope it continues) but his second half was just so so, Have no problems with him not making the 22.
Made the squad which is a feat in itself.

              Nic Nat though wow

The Fairfax poll on who was unluckiest, my mouse was over Kieren but then I had to go Pav - you can argue any of the others (except maybe Cox) but Pav is an inexcusable omission.

Many of us thought it a poor trade, he had talent but never seemed to back himself, certainly I don't think anyone saw an AA in his future.
I think by the time he left he had been thoroughly pigeon holed, it's amazing what a coach's encouragement can do for a bloke.

So well done to him, Ted and Joey

Well done to Teddy and Joey.

                    I'm so proud of them.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

                      AA Team

I bagged Ted for years because he looked & played like a kangaroo in a shooters spotlight. Well done.

I liked Josh from day one but did not imagine it would come to this. Well done.

I was never comfortable with awkward Dempster even though he played in a premiership for us. Looked the same at St Kilda for a couple of years. Like teddy he has become very good. Well done.

Phew - just imagine how much arguing we'd have , if the AA team actually played a game !

Sean Dempster...and I can't think of the other one. Must be some obscure player.

I think this is the key for Friday night.
Win in the centre and the game is ours. Give the Pies a start from the squre and they will cause a lot of trouble.
I think a win Friday will ease the pain of missing out from Lewis and Kieran ... A premiership medal always will !
