The Stockholm connection is interesting. I remember reading somewhere that his brother (who lives and works there) had pretty well single handedly set up an aussie rules league in that country (or something like that). I think Kirky went to visit him/them on his world tour.

      I love Ted.
His AA spot was a shoe-in.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

        From the club site:
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Yeah, and I can't be the only one who thinks he's a lock for the Skilton.

I think it's between him and Joshie P, can't split them. Both have had amazing seasons.

Favourite player in the league without a doubt.

I tipped Ted for the BS last year (and he finished 4th or 5th, from memory). Even though he's been even more wonderful this year than last, I still reckon JPK will romp home with this year's B&F award, with Ted fighting for the places with Jack, ROK and Macca.

An example of the maxim that one man's misfortune is another man's opportunity. If Craig Bolton hadn't been forced into retirement in 2010, Teddy may well be the CHB of the 2012 All-Swedish team instead of the All-Australian one (and even then it took a late season injury to LRT for Teddy to get a chance in defence again)

I will be very, very surprised if the Bobby doesn't go to Joey.
I love Ted, but I think Joey's had a better year.

I thought Ted was more consistent. I don't think he played a bad game, whereas Josh started and finished brilliantly but was merely good for the middle of the season.

Plus, he gets points for his blog.

Always been one of my favourite players. I especially like players who have risen above some adversity in their careers: perhaps they place a higher value on the opportunities. I remember he went very close to BOG in the 2006 Grand Final and some thought he was a bit stiff to miss out.

When he got the best clubman award i thought at the time it was a bit of a sympathy award to give him something. That year he was struggling with form but man, has he turned it around.

I remember having to be worried about him going near the ball (a bit like lrt - deer in headlights early in his career).

It just shows what a bit of confidence and team consistency can do. I love our back 6 - lets hope they are all on song (or even better, dont see much of it with our midfield dominating!)

I remember talking to him briefly at Melbourne airport in 2010 when he was flying back after being a travelling emergency for the 1sts to Canberra to play reserves the next day. Seemed a really nice guy, and at that stage it was clear to me that he was desperate to get back in the 1sts and make a spot his own. He has been absolutely wonderful the last 2 years, and I just hope he has 8 great quarters of footy left in him for the year. For if he does, it will go a long way towards giving us a real chance of seeing red and white ribbons on that Cup!
