GREAT win, one of our best, and persisted with the pressure right to the end. We made a few mistakes - who doesn't? - but the consistency, the effort, the sustained hardness, the occasional shot of brilliance (Jetts, JPK, Smithy) and the all-round excellence of Shaw, Teddy, LRT, McVeigh - where do you stop? We didn't have the hint of a passenger anywhere, a fabulous team effort.
And now for the Grand Final.
      (Go Crows!)
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Without any trace of arrogance and by any objective standard , the margin truly flattered Collingwood.

What are people thoughts about Morton's game? Clearly he was not as good as he was at AAMI 2 weeks ago. Will he hold his position? I think he should he an important cog in the fwd line. Will he make way for Benny Mc??

Tried his heart out and did some good stuff , but we need a bit more than that next week.

I counted three goals from his pressure and clever play. All three goals were at critical moments of the game. Thought he was great. They were all great. So proud.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

If Benny is right then he will come in.
With LRT playing so well forward and back then I think Morton goes for him.
Parker stays as sub for the run and strenghth at the end.

                  Go Swans

Agreed and the selection team have been ?ber conservative re selections so I think they'll go with Morton out if McGlynn gets up.

[Wonderful effort...this is one of the great wins I have seen in 60 years of watching the Swans.
We are a chance...but must get more out of Reid. He forgot to bring a net to catch the ball & recovery is very slow. Also Morton did a couple of nice things but not really enough. If both of those guys play next week they will need to be much better.
Kennedy, O'Keefe, Hanners. MAcV etc...just terrific.

I think the happiest bloke in Australia at the moment is Mick Malthouse........ on another note, 2 players I have have had a crack at this year are LRT and McVeigh. I am happy to say they have proved me completely wrong. well played boys, you have both stood up recently and lead the way...
