My daughter, one auntie, and one uncle are all on the 'find us on facebook' on the swans home page. Yesterday, I was there, along with a cousin, and another uncle.
Dunstall didn't go to the 2008 Grand Final but he's attending this years.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
I think that has to have a few $$$$ on it - awesome
My omen is that on the way out of ANZ on Friday night, waiting in the cue for the toilets as I was leaving was none other than one Mr Leo Barry. Gave him a big pat on the back as well as a friendly 'Go Swannies' as well! I got that goosebump feeling of that 'Leo Barry, You Star' line, and immediately wondered who it'll be for us this Saturday!
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."
I'm camping this week, we borrowed the inlaws camper. Digging through the kitchen equipment I unearthed a '109th Grand Final' stubby holder. Must be mine, but it's been missing for over a year andi have no idea how it got there.
On Friday I was at home during the day thinking about the Pies game and my god daughter kept playing the Black Eyed Peas song 'I've got a feeling (that tonight's gonna be a good night)'. It was starting to get on my nerves but then it twigged that it might be a good sign! Jumped in the car to get dropped off at the Bus Stop to head to the game and Hunters & Collectors 'Holy Grail' came on. I was sorted after that, I was convinced we had the Pies game sealed.
Jumped in the car this morning looking to hear what the first song was on the radio after planning the GF road trip with my Dad all morning. First song was Boom Crash Opera's 'Best Thing' which is a favourite song of mine I associate with something good happening or about to happen. Next song came on the radio, 'Holy Grail' again!! I couldn't believe it. I've got a good feeling about things now!!!
2005 worried like hell about the possible suspension of BBBBH and we won. This year worried as hell about SM. 2006 no suspension worries and we lost. (The 1996 Andrew Dunkley worried as Hell moment doesn't count because it doesn't fit my omen theory!)
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.
