    Grand Final Training Session

Saw this on the Swans website. Would be good to have a crowd there to give them huge support.

"Calling all Sydney Swans supporters in Sydney!

The club will be holding an open training session on Tuesday, September 25 at the SCG from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

This will be your final opportunity to see the team before they head to Melbourne to face Hawthorn in Saturday's Grand Final at the MCG.

There is the Melbourne welcome home event though.

I remember going to the Swans GF open training session in 05. We got our guernsey's signed by most players, so that was nice. Nick Davis was particularly affable that day very sweetly chatting to everyone and taking pictures.

I'd encourage everybody to go if they can. Wish the boys well, have a little chat and come home with some good memories.

According to the phone call I just took, about 3,000 turned up. OK allowing for the size of the fish, that still makes it at least 1,000. they had a ball apparently.

I did (tragic). Didn't see Benny Mac at all . Teddy only doing light stuff, and JPK seemed to be away from the main group too (but I was a bit late getting there). Can understand the former but not the later??. Sam Reid and Jetta having lots of kicking and marking practice. Alex Johnson seemed to be not in the main group either. The rest all looked fine and went through, what seemed to me, a light training but I'm no expert on this. Good crowd and buzz there with everyone swapping their GF stories. Lots of press as well. Players looked relaxed and signing lots of autographs for fans.

Good turnout. No Benny Mcglynn so maybe a closed training session to keep Hawthorn guessing. EDIT: as i wrote this Mcglynn has now been ruled out

No need to. AFL.com says Mcglynn has failed a fitness test and is out.

On SEN Rebecca Wilson said she took her nephews, there were a couple of thousand fans there and no sporting organisation does things as good as the Swans, players prepared to sign autographs and do the right thing, even in a big GF week...

Great photos Jeffers1984. Thanks for that. So good to see Rohan in amongst them and Teddy out there too, also the players not in the final 22. Give them a taste to make them hungry For next year.

Only those in the 22 were signing autographs. Someone called Jesse over and he waved them away. I asked Ted if his ankle was okay (it was bandaged) and he said it was fine. But he would anyway.
