I think so too, I expect we'll name an unchanged side from the PF, now.

Devastated for Ben, even though he was probably only an outside chance to make it. I think it was the right thing for the team to rule him out early, like Guerra, rather than allow the uncertainty to continue all week...

Heartbroken for Ben. Cannot underestimate his influence on the team since coming from Hawthorn. For this to be his second GF missed thru injury is a big burden for a player to bare.
May the boys win and win well.

You will have contributed as much as anybody to winning the flag this year Ben and yes , you should get a medal as much as anybody else in the team.

Every time they talk about Ben on the TV they show that footage of him sitting on the bench after he came off in Adelaide, with the ice pack strapped to his thigh and looking so desperate. It breaks my heart every time. He so much deserved to be playing in the GF. Yes we must do back-to-backs so his time comes next year.

It's very unfair that he's going to miss out on the day.

I just hope the team remembers what a contributor he's been all year, and shows the same spirit when they're out there - do that and we'll win for sure.

Sorry to spoil the party folks but it is better to go into a GF with no doubts about fitness. More so when it is a hammy. When we played this mob in the semi last year half our team was carrying some type of injury.

I think we all get that and agree Nico but it doesn't change that many of us feel desperately sad that Ben is going to miss out when he has contributed so significantly to us getting into the Grand Final.

Agreed. I think Nico misunderstood what many of us have been saying. No-one wants the team to play someone with an injury. It is just such desperately bad luck for Ben to get a serious injury at finals time.

True, it is sad for Benny. But if he wants some perspective, he could sit next to Gary Rohan. I bet Gary would give a lot to have only done a hammy. On the video of the Swans training today, there was Gary at the end, pulling a funny face. It seemed he was still walking laps. If Gary and Benny were playing we would be near unbeatable. I do think Gary is the missing piece in the forward line puzzle.

He was doing more than that. Actually kicking the ball back and forth with other players over a short distance, also handballs and walking as you saw. I was impressed with how his rehab seems to be going, having had a very badly broken ankle myself I was very fearful for him.

I saw him come up the race towards the end, and noticed he was still walking with a pretty epic limp. Going to be tough, and I don't think we can pencil him in as a future star for a year or two anymore, which is a bit sad.
