      Re: The telecast/replay - a different game

I've got to say I thought the commentary was absolutely brilliant. Dennis and Bruce have annoyed me for last few years but they did a terrific job on this game. One of the best Grand Finals of all time got a great call so my hats off to the both of them.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I'm about to watch the game again, but this time with Roy and HG.

I agree Hanners was our best, and I think Kennedy was better than he's been given credit for, he would not have bee an unworthy winner IMO.

Well, I have now watched the final three quarters on TV three times and I reckon Hanners was pretty hard done by. He gets my vote (which is clearly Moore important than the 'experts') for the NS.
He'll just have to get it next year
And at least we werent ripped off with a Hawk getting it like we were in 2005.

I need more tissues after that montage on AFL360 with all the highlights interspersed with the radio commentary. Wonderful stuff.

At times during the second half I thought I was watching the 2005 grand final. We got out to a lead, then coughed it up, fell 2 goals behind early in the last quarter yet rallied to win. We kicked the last four goals of the game!

Is there anywhere us non-Fox people could see this?

Were they on JJJ? Are they On the DVD ? Because I love them. The ABC radio commentary was fantastic also.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Agree, when they knuckle down and concentrate on commentating the game they are a great pair of callers together.

Most of the year they sound bored and end up trying to out do each other without actually commenting on the game itself.

I've watched the first half this evening and will watch the second half tomorrow evening. What an entirely different game it is at the ground to on telly. I get so engrossed in following the ball, yelling, cheering, everything else at the ground that you miss so many litt

But a few things I knew at the ground certainly holding true in the replay - how excellent Pyke was, how sensational AJ is (what a cracking player we have there... so cool under intense pressure!), how good Reecey and Mal were, and just how wonderful that coast to coast goal of Reid's was.

Can't wait to watch the second half of the game tomorrow night.... especially knowing the result to come
