If Jessica finds another home, our ruck stocks are going to be rice-paper thin. Especially with Seaby an almost permanent invalid and us finally settling on the grand final winning formula of 2 ruckmen.

Fair enough. And Des, Mitch Morton and JW would have slightly different roles.

The Doggies may be interested - they need some talls particularly up forward...or maybe it could be part of a trade for Tippett?

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yeah that is my only concern, as minor as it is, that he would be the backup to mummy and pyke should they get injured. Then again LRT can easily go there. Seaby should be retained on the list IMO for this reason as well.

Good luck Jesse. You are a lovely man and I wish you all the best with your life, artwork, T-shirt biz and football.

As for ruck stocks, Lewie and Tippett for back-ups? Not too shady. Time to offer that big lanky top-up a rookie contract I think (Naismith ?)

I have long believed that he'd go to GWS.

Note that John Longmire , in his recent comments , didn't mention him as one of the fringe-dwellers he expected to step up next year.
Clearly , it was time for Jesse to go.

No , Jesse was never going to be a superstar.
But , respect to him - even to get drafted is a major achievement for anybody.
Remember , only about 12,000 have played at the top level in about one and a half centuries of first-grade footy.

I read an article saying that Dan Currie will go into the draft again this year after a successful year in the SANFL.

Alex Starling is 196cm and can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Fair chance Taubs will have a new ruck project there.

That's crazy talk - who would ever be silly enough to sign a tall athlete from another country with no background in AFL, make them play ruck, which is one of the most important positions on the ground, and expect them to ever be able to make it or be part of a premiership team????

"Project" is a good word. So too is "Insurance"

disappointed it didnt all come together for him. he shows enough in games and in the ruck to be a decent player, but i agree with the earlier post that he doesnt seem to have the absolute crushing desire. If you could put alex johnson's heart into esse's frame you'd have quite a full forward i reckon.
