Jesse can run all he likes. He needs the killer instinct and smarts more importantly, otherwise he'll just be another Cheese Barlow. Great runner, last person you'd want in the trenches.

??? Jesse White and Tom Hawkins are both tall, solid blokes. That's where the comparison ends.
White took up footy in his late teens and was more known as a basketballer. At the same age, Hawkins was playing 1st XVIII footy in the APS and was a star at the Under 18 national championships.
Really hope it works out for White, but don't think even he believes he's at Tom Hawkins' level...Comment

But I do hope that he plays some good AFL football in the seasons to come, if only we could have combined his body with Bulldogs smarts and footy brain..
I See It But I Don't Believe It!!!!Comment

He hasn't been mentioned, as I can recall, as a stand alone trade.
If that happens then a second round pick for him would enable us to trade a first and second pick for Tippett.Comment

Anyone offering a 2nd round pick for JW is paying big overs. Look at what we gave up for guys like McGlynn and Kennedy, and we've been known to offer up a little extra to do a deal...
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

If we can trade him, it will be for a pick that doesn't get used like we did last year to get Morton, Pick 74 was it? and Richmond was never going to use it just Got Morton to where he was wanted as a nice gesture. We'll do the same this year if Jesse is wanted. He does play better than (to quote another thread) a blind one legged pensioner so Port Adelaide is a possibility!Comment

I think Jesse would be good for a developing team. Port, Brisbane, GCS, GWS or Melbourne would be very good destinations for him. He was really good in the Two's in the ruck, used his strength very well. I think he would be very good in a young side.Comment

Jesse would have to be one of the nicest guys around the club.

I'd hope there will always be a bit of Swan in him no matter where he ends up. Well done on being a 50 game player with the BloodsComment

Given Melbourne is his preferred destination.
The Swans will do their best to get him there.
Possible destinations....IMO.....
1....Dogs - they are in desperate need of a big body for their forward structure.
2...Demons - If the Dawes deal falls over
3...StKilda....Reiwolt and Kosi are nearing the end, they need back up
Smokey.....Blues - haven't managed to land a KPP yet...and they also need one for their forward structure.
Trade value...late 2nd to early third round pick......
Good luck to Jesse hope he finds his feet at his new club.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

If the penny has really dropped for Jesse, he will be a valuable pick-up.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

What about White + 61 for Dogs 41 then we give 22+41 to the Cows for Tippett?
We do the right thing by White to trade him to a team who are desperate for forwards and we get a 2nd rounder to accomodate pick 22 so we don't give up premiership players/or anyone else on the list, while keeping a pick in the top 50 (pick 42).
Win, Win, Win? Cows yes probably shortchanged but they aren't in a position of power with somebody who is out of contract.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

Brilliant from Whitey. Even though he was lacking an opportunity he never said anything bad about the club or rubbished it. Real respect for him. I want to keep him, but if he finds another destination I hope he gets another opportunity.LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.
