    Swans delistings

First round of cuts. It's adieu to Seaby, Moore from the senior list and McNeil, Lynch, Kruger from the rookie list

Very surprised on Lynch, I thought he had a very good first season as a rookie.

I am a bit surprised about Lynch after only 1 year as I thought he did quite well and showed some real potential. I also was hoping that Moore could find a home on a weak club like Port, which I thought could use his leadership skills to go along with being a pretty decent player.

Doggy is outstanding on many levels, but he just doesn't have the running body shape. However he is a natural coach and leader. I am hoping for developments in that department.

Aren't our ruck stocks a bit thin if we don't get Tippett?

I agree, hope he stays on in a developement/ coaching capacity.

Surely we'll get Tippett one way or another? Even if he goes into PSD and another club picked him up, they would have to match the contract we have put to Tippett and I don't think there's many that can do that. It may take a while but I would think Tippett will be in red and white by the end of the trade period.

I am also a bit shocked about Lynch. Dylan & Eugene were on the cards as we have many players who are just a bit better who fill the same sort of role. I think both these lads could benefit from some SANFL experience like a few others have including Dan currie who is now back in the mix nominating for the draft. Like to thank Doggie for all the great leadership of the boys in the Two's. He was magnificent and they have benefited greatly by his experience.

I think the big seabs would still be a good pickup as a backman ruck for another club. Someone like Richmond, GWS, or the Bulldogs could pick him up IMO. Gonna miss the bulldog. I always liked the bulldog, he gave his all to the club and it's gonna be sad to see him go. I think he has enough ability to player as a depth option for another club.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

With Seaby already gone I wonder if we'll hold off on any potential Jesse trade until we definitely get The Tippett deal over the line?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

My guess is Seabs and Moore elicited no trade interest but someone is keen on White.

Whilst there was very little chance Bulldog was going to be on the list next year, I was hoping he'd pull the pin himself. Great leader and I hope he sticks around.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but we still need to cull one player from the senior list don't we? Suggesting that White is still gone. Is Meredith lucky to have kept his spot?

+ 1. Sad about McNeil, sounded like the kid had the right attitude.

McNeil, just didn't get to another level. Attitude great. Just.....
We kept Spangher and I thought he might go.
Same with Mezz. Tough attitude if he is still hanging in there.
Thought perhaps Nipper may have had his moment in the sun and a fine ****ing moment it was.
Lynch, didn't he have a bit of injury?

So if they trade White, are we up to our limit yet?

I don't want to lose Doggy.

No surprises there, except Lynch who from all ressie reports was showing a bit.

So that's two off the main list with another one compulsary before the last listing lodgement so we are obviously waiting to see what happens during the trade period.

I don't think you are under any obligation to have any picks at the National Draft, the only requirement is you must drop three off your main list. You could then fill those three with upgraded rookies or traded in players before the ND although rookie upgrades are now done via the tail end of the ND.
