Very surprised that Meredith is still there but only because he has not played many first grade games. Can't imagine he would be worth anything as a trade at the moment.

I imagine the Club will delist Jesse if he is not picked up by anyone and the KT trade is done.

Spangher gets to survive another season after not making an appearance in the top side all year. However his hamstring was about a millimetre off a complete rupture.

I remember when I spoke to him over dinner on Valentine's Day (ha ha work that one out) back in February, he said that it was extremely close to a season ending injury and there was about 6 to 8 weeks at that stage before he could start running again. That was a great Valentine's Day dinner.

Will be doing the dinner again next Feb. Very intimate dinner with 4 Swans players for 2 hours. Last year it was McVeigh, Spangher, Mitchell and McNeil.

I should run a partner raffle. Good looks will be looked on favourably but an ugly winner with own portable beer fridge will come close too.

Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

Nipper is still a chance for a HFF type role..........watched a little of this season and he is a massive goer and if he could chill on his decision making he has opportunity in the future

I think he still has a year to go on his contract, if they delisted him they'd still have to pay him and it'd count against the cap. He may be frustrating, but he doesn't appear to have been a bad guy to have around the club so it'd be surprising if he was delisted.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

This is just the first crack. The ones remaining probably still have some trade value. I would expect that Meredith, White and TDL will go one way or another. Spangher may be a fitness assessment. The fact that he is still on the list makes me think that the medicos feel that he may be over the worst of his injury concerns.

Sad to see Moore be delisted. If he was on the list of 12 of the 18 AFL clubs he would be playing 15- 20 games a season. Hopefully he finds a new home.
Seaby was a cert to be delisted, no role with us for him anymore. Someone will pick him up.
I think Andrejs Everitt could get a trade deal done, With Morton and Tippett (if it happens) both forward type players I cant see how he will get a game.
I would Keep Brett Meredith on the list- gives us cover for some of the older players. The one player we should try and keep it Matt Spangher. His 5 games at the end of 2011 including the finals were first class & i cant believe he could not get a start at all this year.

Moore could have been picked up as an unrestricted free agent, not costing the acquiring club anything in trade, and we would have gotten a compensation pick. But now that he is delisted we get nothing if he goes to another team. At least that is my understanding. The same would be true for Seaby, but only if he went to GWS. So being delisted this early in the piece must mean that there was no chance of that happening. I agree with the posts that say Moore would have been a good pickup by a number of weaker clubs. I honestly think he could make the top 10 B&F at Port Adelaide.

Can't see the club actively looking to offload Everitt. The coaches clearly like the flexibility he brings as sub.

Moore still has some good football left before he takes up coaching. Could easily see him playing WAFL, SANFL, VFL shortly.

Wonder if Nicks will stay at PAFC under new coach.

its a tough one, i just can't see how he is going to get a game. with the forwards (or forward type players) that did not make the 22 in the GF + Tippett.

McGlynn, TDL. Tommy walsh, + Tippett & Armstrong where will he get a go? Noted the sub suggestion.

Might not be in the best 22, but when you consider how lucky we were on long term injuries this year, and that we used the fewest players of any team, you still need to have adequate depth and ready to go players should the need arise.

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Why could we not appoint Jarred our reserves Captain/Coach and perhaps not have him one of our listed players in the reserves team.?

Surprised Meredith has not already been delisted

I too am surprised about Jack Lynch, he may have used an awful lot of tape on his shoulders (almost Hannaberry like) but I thought he showed plenty, especially as he was much the youngest of our rookies too.
                              A puzzling decision.

Maybe Lynch was just a body crumbler, fix one bit and another falls apart. They could see the writing on the wall and decided to not disillusion him any further.

Noted that Eugene spent a lot of this year not playing due to injury as well.

So, will we pick up Potter, Broom, the tall bloke from North Sydney, and Murphy?
