I believe Meredith is uncontracted and if the Swans can't find a taker for him during trade month I think he will be delisted.

Yep would be a quality pick for SANFL - so many ex Swans doing really well with SANFL clubs look at Goodrem regarded as a top line player at central districts. Moore would be a great replacement for one of the Gowan twins at Centrals who have just retired. Same style of players with similar pace but moore has better skills.
Cheers

What ever happened to Shane Biggs? Answered my own question. Still on the rookie list. Interesting.Comment

He was injured toward the end of the year Nico and didn't play the last few games. He is coming along very nicely. In the best players most weeks. I like him he has real talent and like all the young players we have picked up, his delivery is super. I am hoping he gets moved to the list for 2013.Comment

Know a bloke in Melbourne who played with him. Played 3rd Division in the Eastern Football League and I think was an Essendon rookie in Melbourne so it was a decent pluck by the Swans. Bloke reckons he can play.He was injured toward the end of the year Nico and didn't play the last few games. He is coming along very nicely. In the best players most weeks. Terrible list management (went for a lot of skilled but inconsistent and soft players at a time when Geelong was about to smash everyone with sheer strength) and a dumb board, mostly. Shouldn't have extended Williams, shouldn't have hired Primus without doing due dilligence with other prospects.
They'll be back, and it'll be damn good to see.Comment

I guess it depends if he wants to keep playing - plenty here, including myself, think he could be well suited to an AFL team such as GWS or Port if they want a reasonably experienced player with great leadership skills. Otherwise if he just wants to keep playing, in a second-tier comp better than the NEAFL, its totally reasonable that he could head back to Vic to a VFL side.
As far as coaching, we haven't heard anything from the Swans as to whether there's a coaching gig available here for him - my guess would be that would be after the trade period and drafts to see if he ends up on a list somewhere. From all reports he was being groomed for some sort of a coaching role, although I'm sure he'd prefer to keep playing for a bit longer....Comment

I'd love to see him playing for The Borough (if that is what you are inferring) as opposed to SANFL of WAFL. You'd have to think he would be more than useful for someone like the Doggies or Port (Adelaide not Melbourne) or even the Dees as they bring on their youngsters?Comment
