    Scary Forward Line

Has anyone written the names down?

    Jetta Reid Goodes
    Rohan Tippett Morton/McGlynn

I'd go a shootout with that setup against any team in the comp...I'm looking at you Hawks.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

It would appear that Horse not only wants the very best defense, he wants the very best forwards and forward line!

(Pretty handy mids on the way up also)

Hope our interchange players can lift to be the best also. and as for the sub better be on his game)

Got the mids, got the backline, now for the forwards. It is only a matter of how long the dynasty will last and how many flags will come our way.

Injuries will dictate how we go in the next two years as we don't have much experienced depth. Imagine if we had say six flag players injured at the same time, it does happen just look at some of the decimated teams this year. We've lost no one yet from the top of our list and might add one in Tippett so that's good but a bit thin after that.

Do worry about ruck depth, we only have two. I reckon Tippett if he does get here will play permanent FF.

McGlynn is one expereinced quality depth player, I hope we can get Rohan back to his best but it was a shocking injury he had and he is still establishing himself at AFL level. Want Tom Mitchell to be fit as I think he's a gun in the making and Lamb seemed to finally get fit enough to show why we drafted him at pick 21. But could we cover half a dozen injuries and still compete with the best? hmmmm.

I don't think any team could. Look at Freo this year. Decimated by injuries, but when they got them back on the park they came home with a rush.

Its not the forward line I'm worried about. It seemed to be in the last 6 or so games of 2012, our much hyped midfield got thrashed in clearances in most games. All around the time Jude got injured, and obviously didnt return 100%.

Without stating the obvious, we won the premiership by having the most resilient and talented list. Jude and Goodes really played extra-organic performances to get us the flag (that was personality driven more than anything), and strategically Mike Pyke was the X-factor in the current subs/rotation policy (i.e. nobody in the AFL world expected him to be able to offer what he has) which positioned us as a capability above all other sides.

A few key outs when it counts means you dot win in current AFL, structures are everything. The fact that with Jude potentially staying on and Tippet added to our forward line means that highly desired 1's players will miss out every week. My suspect is that the strategy from the football dept will be to have A graders playing ressies for the next 2 years just to ensure we can cover injury loss.

Will be tough to be a talented listed (fringe) Swan for the next couple of years I think!
