Sorry, that's really harsh, Melbourne members have every right to feel disgruntled with the draw.
Our club prides itself on the two cities thing, then the AFL turn around and dish us up a draw like this, it's ludicrous. Why are we the only suckers to get Wellington and Hobart?

As Andrew Ireland said the club is only one or two bad trading seasons away from disaster. They would do well to remember where 1/3 of their membership money comes from.

Melb Silver which will get me to one game at ES is $115.
or I can go $75 just to keep my name on the books, and pay for a game at ES (2012- $24.15 for Lvl 3).

O/S trip.

I'm retired and have a trip planned O/S where it looks like I will miss 2 games In Melbourne. I will renew and be happy if one of the few games I get to is the GF.

It's not that far, many Geelong people travel to Melbourne for work each day.

yep, the train only takes an hour and on the weekend the car doesn't take much longer....unless a truck has broken down on the Westgate Bridge.

I can understand seating capacity being made as an excuse for not going, but certainly not travelling time.

. You are assuming of course that we start in Melbourne. We start 1? hours before that!

On a positive note we get more games on FTA for us non Foxtel Melbourne people.
We get 8 games on FTA, although 2 of them are Melbourne games.

A couple more than last year. A sign of the rising Swans audience.

Kardinia Park! It is not even an oval. More like the dimensions of a standard racecourse. 2 bends and 2 straights.

Went to Kardinia Park once, in 1999.
Was the only Swans' supporter in the middle of 5000 rabid Cats in the old Reg Hickey Stand.
We won by seven goals in both grades (yes that long ago!), Plugger kicked seven in the seniors and Brett O'Farrell (remember him?) kicked seven in the ressies.
I made more noise than those 5000 combined, their numbers slowly dwindled as they left with nasty looks (Dad - a North man - sunk lower in his seat at each one!) and I smiled, stretched out, put my feet on the seats in front and made even more noise!

4 games in Melbourne and 3 at the MCG.
As both my daughter and I are MCC members, and the only other game we will get to will be at Etihad, will not be worth renewing my membership for 1 game.

Yep, this is why my membership lapsed years ago.
Value for money wasn't even in the ball park.
I felt (and still do feel) that they are somewhat taking advantage of the Vic legacy and passion.
I still have the passion, just not the membership

And I am a happy camper because the Telstra guy said there will be AFL subscriptions available again for Telstra mobile customers.
Every game live for $50.
More FTA is great, because it's nice to watch the game on a big screen, but the other 14 games I will be able to access on my phone.
