In all honesty, I overstated my feelings about it. But to follow the team closely enough that you are prepared to read and even post on this site and then have a two-time premiership player, who was one of the keys to a successful finals series this year, outside the best 22?
I was firmly pro LRT this past season and I sense you were as well. But with the arrival of Tippett to the forward line and the arrival on GF day of Myke as a legitimate very good second ruck option, I can see the argument that he may struggle to find a spot in the best 22, a victim of his own versatility as much as anything.

I don't agree with it, I'd be finding a spot for him somewhere, but I don't think you need to be a hater or a clown to mount an argument in the negative for 2013 at this early stage.

Could Mike be the number 1 ruck option?

Beg to disagree on Mattner. He primarily played the loose man in defence in 2012. Shaw and Smith picked up the smalls. Who plays on who depends on the opposition and who is on the bench to interchange.

On Rohan; I would be very surprised if he plays round 1. Very few butter up immediately in the next season after a broken leg. Given Tippett is out until Round 12, Parker and Bird must be in the side and LRT goes forward. So it is pretty close to the GF side first up.

Point taken, although I daresay anyone who would mount such a case either didn't watch the final in Adelaide or potentially stores suspiciously large shoes in the bottom of their cupboard

Take the GF team, add Rowan, Tippett and McGlynn and try to figure out who doesn't make the squad; plus who wears the green vest.

                It's like a puzzle without a solution.

And don't forget all the others that we would like to see get some games: Mitchell, Lamb, Cunningham, Armstrong and on and on. We all have our favourites.

At the least he's a better defender than Grundy and Johnson....and arguably Ted on his day.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I've never seen Mattner pick up a KP. I have seen him play on smalls.

The teams wasn't for round one. It was the best (IMO) with the list.

Harry has mentioned in a few interviews he is being groomed as our loose HBF of the future

does he deserve the impact possie in the green singlet in 2013 ?

he certainly offers skills, speed and great kick on the run........maybe coming on in the HFF possie?
