Hawthorn to win flag in 2013

Guess what? "The flag is Hawthorn's to lose, according to a new list-ranking system devised by the AFL's official statisticians."

Hawthorns defence rated ahead of Sydney's...PMSL

Someone at Champion Data has been smoking the wacky tabacky.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Our defence third behind Geelong and Hawthorn? And our forwards 11th??
Obviously calculated before the Tippett transfer went through, but even without him I can't see 10 better forward setups.
Probably underlines the difference between being a star and playing your role.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

This doesn't rate the teams subjectively. Defensively we are pretty much clear at the top, but that doesn't rate in super coach. Glad to see our defenders don't sacrifice their offensive game to do so.

It rates Carlton as having the 2nd best forward line. How can it be taken seriously.

Soon as I saw that I knew it was some kind of a joke.

We've been hearing it's Hawthorns to lose before the start of every season since 08,
              still waiting......

On the one hand, I agree that those rankings are certainly nothing like an exact science, but on the other hand, I am getting very nervous considering the last time we won the premiership, the grand final result was reversed the following year

Freo are the dark horses IMO. Not only do they have a reasonably high 'quality' list (4th according to those rankings), they showed this year they are up to the pressure of finals footy.

They're a good team, congrats to them on their win. Well deserved.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Freo is the dark horse every year.

Freo are serious contenders. Ross has arguably more to work with there than at St Kilda.

                        LOL
Our opponents can win as many ChampionData, FantasyFootball, or Top#10 Draftee competitions as they like, such things are abstractions at best and distractions at worst.
Having finally reached double figures in premiership wins, I think we'll concetrate on those.
