Maybe we've stumbled on the real meaning of "Brewongle'!

"Home of inedible, overpriced stodge served by unsmiling, uninterested automatons."

And all that time we were looking for an indiginous origin for it.

I noticed that someone got inspired by the Gozleme at Fox markets and tried to introduce it within the confines of the SCG this year. We tried it once, OMG it was bad!!!!

No need for further discussion on this subject. This man knows his food.

Come on guys. It's not that hard to get a few bread rolls and a slice or two of ham, rare roast beef or tofu (whatever you like) and take it to the footy. The world is a better place when people take responsibility for what they shove in their own mouths (where healthy options are available).

With a string quartet of little ones (getting bigger by the year), I learnt a long time ago that you take our own food to the footy. It is the only way to extract maximum value from the footy experience.

Eat before you get there and take ny extras you need.

My old man used to take hotdogs in the thermos. Footy food without the price tag, probably better quality too.

Oh that's genius! Never thought of that.

Yes that cafe is quite respectable and you get a decent sit-down meal - a bit more expensive of course but you get what you pay for.

I discovered cider at games this year too - a better option than the crappy beer and wine they serve.

I also found a nice spot for a quiet pre-game drink is the open air bar out the back of the upstairs deck of the Trumper stand. It looks out over Fox Studios or whatever it's called this week and is a pleasant spot for a low-key catch up.

What I'm taking away from this thread is that people are unhappy about the lack of sausage rolls at the SCG!

I can't believe its worse than the pizzas. Taste and texture wise they bore no resemblance to any pizza I've ever eaten. And I'm always up for pizza (hence the unfortunate encounter at the SCG).
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

I thought there were some really good sausage rolls at the SCG this year - Lewis Jetta's vs the Bulldogs was probably the best of them IMO....

As someone who resides in the Brewongle I can tell you we only get excited by really good behinds. We'll also occasionally watch some football.

When he retires it will be renamed the Ryan O'Keefe stand.
